I have the a6000 and the Zeiss Touit 32mm /1.8 aspc lens. I recently purchased the a7II and Sony FE 2/28 lens. Do I have 2 lenses that are too similar? I thought I would lose quality by putting the aspc lens on a FF. Should I return the FE 2/28? As you can see, slightly confused on the aspc/ff lenses.
I am looking for a prime lens for my A6000 and there are a few that are in the consideration lineup... Sony/Zeiss 24mm F1.4 (SEL24F18Z) Touit 32mm F1.4 Sigma 30mm F1.4 I already own the kit lens and the 18-105 F4 lenses but since the birth of my little girl I want a lens that will help capture her younger years hence looking at primes. Ideally I want this new lens to serve the following purposes: portraits, indoor and for some landscape shots (although this would be a bonus). I would like to...
I am not sure if I should rent the Zeiss 32mm 1.8 or the Sony 35mm 1.8.I plan to use it to shoot video, and was wondering if the Sony's lens with image stabilization would be the better solution?https://www.borrowlenses.com/product/Zeiss-Touit-32mm-f18-Lens-for-Sony-EMounthttps://www.borrowlenses.com/product/Sony-35mm-f1-8-OSS-E-Mount-Lens
I just got an an A7 from B&H, with their current promotion. I also ordered a new 35mm f2.8 on Ebay from a shop in NJ. This is a second camera for me, along with my A6000. I do landscape, and for now, I am looking to primarily mount the 35mm on the A7 and my 10-18mm on the A6000. Of course, I may switch lenses sometimes. I have the 32mm Touit, which is very sharp, but only used occasionally on the A6000, as it is a little on the long side (48mm equiv) for most of my work. Now that I...

Okay so I actually have two questions. I've read as much as I could about these two but I haven't seen anything exactly like my dilemma right now so I thought I'd ask here. 1. In what environmental situations will I want OSS on? I understand the whole tripod vs handheld thing, but if it were a sunny day and I'm outdoors, will the OSS make a huge difference when handheld? What about on a cloudy day? There's only a $50 difference between the Sony 35mm and Zeiss 32mm here and the only thing...

Hi All, I've had my Sony Nex 3N for half a year now and I really enjoy it. My current lenses are the kit lens Sony SELP1650 and the zoom lens SEL55210 I would like to add a fast prime lens for all around and lower light use, travel, walking etc so I've narrowed down to the Sony SEL35F18 for $450 vs. Zeiss Touit ZE3218TE for $499 Reading reviews, it seems that the Zeiss is sharper and overall better IQ, but it doesn't have OSS, has a louder focusing sound, and doesn't auto focus as well as the...

I had a once in a lifetime lens loss (I hope!) this week…while in Yosemite National Park, I was carrying a couple lenses on a hike up Yosemite Falls. While near the edge of an off-trail cliff 1000 feet above the valley floor, I swapped lenses from the 35mm F1.8 to my wide-angle, sticking the 35mm in my hip pocket - something I’ve done dozens of times for quick swaps – and set up the camera on a timer. However, about 2 feet from the edge of the cliff I squatted down and POP! the lens squeaked...

I have an odd issue that may well have a simple solution I just don't know about. I have a new Sony a6000 and a Zeiss Touit 1.8/32 lens, and when I take photos with that lens (but no others) in Manual, Aperture-priority, or Shutter-priority mode, it stores the photos in triplicate on my memory card. On camera, they appear to have slightly different exposures, but when offloaded onto my computer they appear identical -- just different image names. This does not happen when I shoot in...
Has anyone here experience of both the Touit 32/1,8 and the Sony 35/1,8? Is the Zeiss glass much sharper? how about autofocus preformance? Which is fastest an most accurate? Any opinion about the Sony 20/2,8? Especially compared to the Zeiis 24/1,8? Apart from the brightness? I´m about to by a Nex7 or a Nex6 that is very cheap in Sweden right now and want to get good glass. Thanks!
