Hello, I bought a Carl Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 along with a Yashica FX-D to use the lens with an adapter on my A7. However, I'm unfamiliar with the quirks of the C/Y mount. I noticed when the lens is off the camera the aperture closes slightly, even when set for f/1.4, but it opens fully as soon as I put it on the FX-D. Is this how the lens is supposed to operate or is something broken? I haven't bought the adapter yet, so I'm trying to figure out if there is an issue before I spend the money. Thanks!

I am wanting to buy a new lens.. I have a d7000 with zeiss 50 1.4 and Nikkor 105 macro for pro lenses (good quality lenses)I really like the wide look and i know the 28 will be more like a 50 (or 45 or whatever) but will the optics be up to par with the 24-70 or 16-35?Any favorites?Should I just save my money or is the 28 good enough for now?The lenses I have are just too telephoto..Oh I actually have a 28-200 3.5-5.6 I believe and a bower 8mm fish 3.5 not to mention the kit 18-55 that came...
