The Redmi Note 3 is the successor to the Note 2 and comes with an, in terms of specification, unchanged camera module. Images are still captured on a 13MP sensor with on-sensor phase detection but some other aspects of the new model have been improved. The Note 3 is Xiaomi's first smartphone with an all-metal body and the first model to feature a fingerprint scanner which allows for unlocking in just 0.3 seconds. Screen size remains unchanged at 5.5 inches, and so do the overall dimensions. The Android OS is powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, and a large 4,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging should allow for extended operation time away from a power outlet.
