I have X-rite profile pro and I calibrated my monitor 3 weeks ago and made a lot of adjustment to my photos after the first calibration. By mistake I deleted my monitor profile so I calibrated my monitor once again today. One of the things that I hate about monitor calibration is luminance value. below are the setting I used today with 2 pictures before and after. My Monitor is for gaming and curved (AG273QCX) and I don't have a pc for images editing. A PC for...

Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could offer some advice please? My I 1 Display Pro cover arm (the swivel plastic thing that covers the lens) has inexplicably broken in two after being kept in box. Is that piece integral to the operation of the unit, or can I still use it without the cover to calibrate my monitor? And if so, will the calibrator be safe uncovered, if I keep it in a sealed box? Thank you.

I just bought the new i1 pro and Benq 240SW. Waiting on my display port cable(monitor shipped with a mini DP connector).  I am using an HDMI for now.  I used the used it on my Toshiba laptop  first while researching the cable mixup. It recognized it as an LG display. Okay. Ran profiler and when it was complete I noticed a greenish shift. Okay for first run. I then ran it on my Benq 240 and when complete it also has a greenish hue. Same two different enviroments. One at home under standard non...

I have my photo workflow colour managed and because I prefer a monitor that does not strain my eyes I hardware calibrate to the warmer whitepoint of D50 and a very low white level at 80 candelas. This works for me and I get prints back from the professional printer that match my expectation (80 cd were cruscial there because they were just coming back too dark otherwise). Furthermore, I use Lightroom and edit in ProPhoto color space, and it seems D50 is the whitepoint reference for ProPhoto,...

Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster. I have a late 2013 iMac that I use with an XRite i1 display profiler, and no matter what I set the target color temperature and/or luminance at, my prints always come out a shade warmer than they look. It doesn't matter if I use the photo lab or my own printer, the slight cast is there. Regarding the latter, when I first bought it (a Canon Pro 1), I was having terrible results until I switched the rendering intent from relative to perceptive, even...

Hello everybody! This is my first post. Nice to be here :) I bought a new monitor and since I'm a hobbyist photographer, I borrowed the i1Display Colorimeter from my neighbor, who is a professional photographer. The monitor is a Dell U2515H and I'm using Windows 10 and Lightroom 6. I basically want to have two profiles. The first one being D65 and 160cd/m² for everyday use and the second one being D50 and 100cd/m² for softproofing in Lightroom with the icc Profiles from the online photo...

Hi All, I recently purchased two ASUS PA238Q Monitors, on a pc which are great and meant to come "pre-calibrated " they have various display modes (standard, SRGB, Scenery , Theater Mode and User Modes). I do work for both Print and web and I recently purchased an X-rite i1 monitor calibrator as i was unsure on the pre-calibration ASUS had done as both monitors, although sat next to each other, produced different colours Now I understand the basics of calibration and the i1 on simple mode is...

Ok so I just calibrated my Asus notebook with the xrite idisplay pro.  Monitor looks great.  A few questions/ issues im having.  While looking at older images ive uploaded to flickr, they look ok in my web browser.  When I download them they are dark.  Now im thinking its because they were processed before I calibrated.  So i check my folder.  The thumbnails show up clean.  When I open them they are dark.  Also one of these oarticular images is my background.  It is fine n the desktop.  So...
