Camera is very rugged. I tripped while on vacation in Nova Scotia and the camera went flying and clattered on the concrete. NO PROBLEM! I love how fast images are downloaded to my computer. Great camera Problems: I have found that using the zoom at its limit, the auto focus doesn't do the job, it is necessary to set the focus at infinity to geta sharp image.

My second review after thousands of pictures. This camera truly excels at portraits at about the 6 foot range, at longer distances flash falls off. This camera must be good because my wife doesn't let me use anything else anymore. Overall very pleased with this first digital camera. Problems: Photos with much motion a problem. Flash seems to have a very narrow range but excellent within this range.

I bought this camera back in October 2001, at Future Shop. I have taken almost 2000 pictures. Excellent value for the money, good picture quality, has manual selections normaly found in higher end cameras Problems: I don't like lens cover, it is not good for lens if you forget to take it off. Between highest resolution and medium resolution is a big gap

Just got this Camera in the mail this morning thru Futureshop here in Canada. This is my first experience with a digital camera and I must say that I'm glad I did my research before buying. The reason I chose this one is because it does have the full manual function and being that I wanted to learn and do more experimentation with photography, this beats buying a traditional SRL camera for which you'd have to wait for film and more likely waste a lot of $$$ in "test" shots. With this you ...

I bought my M71 about 3 months ago thru on-line shopping for about $340.00 including shipping. I think its an excellent buy for the money. Has about all the features you could possibly want -- and then some. I had owned an HP-315 before and find the M71 as easy to operate. You may be able to beat this price as newer, lighter cameras are introduced. I did much research before buying the 71 -- and I'm not disappointed. Problems: The most pesky annoyance is the lens cap. If you forget to ...

Where in Canada can I buy the M71 for $499?

This digital camera has lots of features which is more than enough for most people. I paid 499$ Can.and I am very satisfied with the pictures I am making. I recommend this camera highly. Read the manual carefully before using. Problems: I was not satisfied with the manual as printed. I need an index for quick reference. (I still love this camera.)

I also bought this camera for $499cdn. At this price point this was the best camera available. I compared it to the Canon S40, which is also good, but with the advantage of 3.4 mp and a much better movie mode Toshiba wins. Full manual is IMO a must have feature. I was able to take night shots and manually set my aperture and shutter speed to take some stunning shots. Also, I took some macro shots (about 10cm. distance) in low light of some desktop documents. With 3.4 mp res, I was able to ...
