Halloo I found myself at the crossroads of possible ways to develop my photographic gear, which is more ergo related than anything else (I guess) The other day I was shooting skateboarders' stunts during Polish Skateboard Championships. I was equipped with my A6600 and set of four lenses Tokina 11-20 F2.8 Sigma 18-35 F1.8 Canon 70-200 L USM II F2.8 Sigma 56F1.4. All these lenses work great (via MC-11) in terms of performance. I have had some experience as far as event shooting, but the last...
New to photography and going to Oshkosh (huge aviation/air show event) in two weeks. I need a good wide angle lens to get sharp photos of planes of all shapes and sizes. Beyond this event, I also travel a lot and like capture land and cityscapes, sunsets and beach scenes, as well as in flight formation flying. Unfortunately I do have a budget around $500 or so. The lens I am intersted in are: Tokina AT-X 11-20 PRO F2.8 DX Nikon DX 10-20mm F4.5-5.6G VR Sigma 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC...
I have a T2i and mostly shoot landscape. I currently have the Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6 and I find it's probably the lens I use the most. Problem is i'm not real happy with the image quality. I would like a sharper lens and am considering an upgrade. I have the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and the Canon 50mm 1.8 and both seem to give me a better quality picture and would like something of similar quality, just wider. The competition seems to be the Canon 10-18 (Ken Rockwell seems to love this lens, is he...
I am getting back into photography after several years away, and am a bit overwhelmed by the myriad of equipment choices available. I consider myself a hobbysist. I used a Nikkormat FT3 35mm SLR as a youth, and first got into digital SLRs with a Nikon D40. My current setup includes a Nikon D7000, Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR DX kit zoom, Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6 VR DX kit zoom, and a Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 prime. I gravitate towards landscape photography e.g. Pennsylvania farms, small towns, trees,...

Hello! I am currently shooting with a 600D and I'm looking to upgrade for the following reasons. Better low-light shooting Better AF system More fun features Overall more professional image I shoot a lot of portraits and I'm currently getting into concert and landscape photography but I also shoot sports for my school. I want to become more professional as I am hoping to shoot more events and I'm beginning to feel limited by my body in certain conditions (Indoor shooting, lack of dynamic...

Hello, i just received a Nikon D5600 and found out that it has issues with several of my lenses. with the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 (no vc, about 3 years old) it focuses perfectly on the OVF but its back focusing in Liveview. the image is blurry and i get focus confirm where i shouldn't. with the Sigma 18-200 DC OS (7-8 years old with internal focus motor) not focusing at all in both OVF and LV(motor doesn't move and the VC isn't working either). with the Tamron 17-55 f2.8 it sometimes fine but in...
Hi all, After 1.5 years of endless learning and fighting to get my first job, I've succeeded. It's an "Engagement Party" which appears to be high end. The client also has a photography business with potential further work if my services are appreciated. "May the universe help me". I've researched a lot but have no idea how to approach this shoot. Would have loved to help assisting someone (for free) in the past to get some experience but nobody's been interested or had the time to allow...
Hi all, I am desperately looking for a good wide lens for landscape photography, my main problem is, that the Sony 10-18 maximal aperture is f4, which makes it quite difficult for star photography (which I actually do quite rarely). I was thinking about buying the Sigma MC-11 Adapter and either the Canon Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II 11-16mm, f/2.8 or the Canon Tokina Pro DX II 11-20mm, f/2.8 (The Mark II Version.) Posts all over the internet make me nervous because some people are complaining...
I've been offered a 24-120 for 350€ and a 16-80 for 600€. Both are new lenses from kits. I need to choose which one to get. I have a D7200, and I'll use this lens while travelling along with the 35mm 1.8. 24mm is not that wide so I think I'll need to take with me a wide zoom like Tokina 11-16 or 11-20 with me, not the best situation while traveling. But I think one day I'll switch to FX (Maybe in few years, 2 years could be, when I'll finish university and get a job), so the 24-120 would be...
