Hi everyone, I'm quite new to this forum (although I've been reading it longer than I'm registered as user), but I hope you guys can help with some advice. I'm currently shooting with a Nikon D7000 plus an AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED as telezoom. This combination has been fine for years for me, but since I visited some national parks in Canada and USA I'm getting more and more attracted to wildlife photography. The 70-300 is a bit short on focal length plus image quality...
I have just purchased a Tamron x2 teleconverter to use with my Tamron 70-300mm lens on my Sony a58. I don't seem to be able to take pictures in 'auto' mode. I am not a very accomplished photographer and do rely heavily on auto settings at the moment. Is this not an option with a teleconverter or is there a way to fix the problem? Thanks

Have seen conflicting information on this and wanted to hear directly from other pro or users who have used this combo: Tamron SP AF 2X Pro on Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC. How bright does it have to be for me to autofocus on Nikon APS C body like D7200? Any help would be fab! ---Nikon D7200
I have a Nikon D800 and having no luck with focus when using a 2x teleconverter. I've tried both Sigma and Tamron 2x teleconverters on the following lenses. Sigma 70-200 2.8 (non OS version), Tamron 70-200 2.8 VC version, Sigma 120-300 2.8 (non OS version), Sigma 150mm 2.8 macro (non OS version). It will never lock focus, it just pumps back and forth forever hunting. They all work fine without the 2x. My older D300 worked fine with all of these combinations. Any suggestions?
