Hi, I am a hobbyist photographer and I initially had an old Olympus E420 and I purchased a Dolica GX600B200 tripod which has a load capacity of 15 lbs. The tripod was great, but I did not use it very much. Then I purchased a full frame Nikon D750 with Nikorr 24-120 F/4 lens and now I have a yongnuo 50mm F/1.8 and a tamron 28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 lens as well. I am planning to purchase a 70-200mm F/2.8 in the near future. Since my collection is growing, I am looking to upgrade for a new sturdy...

I am off to a 2.5 weeks trip to Iceland next week and mulling over the question which lenses to bring. In particular, I am not sure whether I should bring my Canon 10-22mm EF-S ultrawide, or whether 18 mm is sufficiently wide for the landscapes in Iceland. Canon's Ef 70-200mm lenses do have an IR mark on their focus scale (2) and therefore seem to be quite suitable for IR (2). My EF-S 55-250 mm IS unfortunately has not. Apart from this, the EF-S 17-85mm IS is my main landscape...

What would you get for Sharpness and low distortion between a Nikon 28-300vr or the Tamron 28-300Di lens. My wife has a D600 with the Nikon and likes it. I have the D600 kit that came came with a 24-85vr and a 70-300vr but I do like using only one lens.
