Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet Overview
The Xperia Z2 Tablet is the successor to the original Xperia Z Tablet and comes with the same screen size and resolution as its predecessor. However, most interior components have been upgraded. The Z2 Tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor that has been optimized for battery consumption, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.4. The Z2 Tablet's shell is waterproof and dust-resistant and at 6.4mm pretty slim.
Tablet-photographers will appreciate the Z2's 8MP rear-camera. For video calling and selfies a 2.2MP front-unit is on board. The camera app offers many functions we've seen on Sony's smartphones before, such as HDR for both photos and video, Burst Mode, Scene Recognition, Sweep Panorama, Smile Detection, Face Detection and Touch Focus.
The Xperia Z2 Tablet comes with integrated Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology and charges up to 75 percent faster than devices without this technology. The 6000mAh lithium polymer battery isn't the largest we have seen in a tablet but according to Sony is good for up to 10 hours of use.
