Hello I recently got my A99 II and was exploring the menus. I was wondering how to shoot 4k in the super 35 mode. I only find one item on the menu 'Super 35 mode' which has 3 options: ON, Auto and OFF. Can someone explain me what these options mean and how can I set it to shoot 4k in super 35 mode? Any help would be appreciated, Thank you!

Hello I recently bought a A99 II and a 50mm f1.4 CZ lens. I was wondering if there is a trustworthy insurance to have my gear covered. I searched online but haven't found much information except for a company called 'esurranty'. Is this a good insurance? or is there any other option to get my gear insured? As we have a huge community of professional photographers here at DPR, I was hoping to get some useful info. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It's suprising for me after reading so much positive reviews of A99 II all over internet. DPReview awarded it just 85% even Silver Award. Is it really not deserving more or thats the truth reviled? I notice one line like not enough lens range, dont we have enough Sony lens, Minolta Lens and large range of M42 lens? when A99 got 84% Gold award years back it like big bang among other camera now A99 II with 85% Silver it's like too low than expected. Share your views friends. --RegardsAfzal...

I have an A700 that is obviously quite old. I have quite a few good lenses as well as both a 3600 and 5600 HSD Minolta flash. I know these use the Minolta proprietary flash connector. I admittedly haven't been using the equipment much lately but I think I'm going to get back into it, especially because I have an 8-week trip-of-a-lifetime coming up. So when packing up my camera equipment I realized perhaps I should get a newer body. I see that there is the A99 II coming out but for better or...

Has anyone seen anything, recently, which speaks to when the A99m2 will no longer be on back-order status; but available at all U.S. outlets? I was going to wait on it, for my next few studio shoots - but the rumor mill (albeit unsubstantiated) is saying March, at the earliest with continued back-order status for months after.  If that's the case - I'll press on with my A99m1. I'm looking for some kind of official product release update from Sony, but can't find anything. Thanks! ---Rusty

I have a great collection of Minolta and Sony A mount lenses from Tokina, Sigma, and Tamron. I mostly shoot video and like the APSC/Super 35mm because I use the Sony FS7 at work. I'm looking to buy myself a new camera for Christmas after buying the kids loads of stuff. I'm looking in buying a SONY A7Sii or SonyA7Rii. Mostly at home I've been shooting video on the "Sony A77 mark one," which is APSC. I know I will need the LA EA4 adapter to attach my lenses to the SONYA7Sii or any E mount...

Dear All, I am totally new to the forums and I'd really love to get your kind opinions about a question that I'm really finding hard to unravel. I am professional photographer and use sony gear since the beginning. I currently own two A99 and an A7RII. I love the quality of the latter, I also had the opportunity to try the newest 35mm 50mm and 85mm 1.4 e mount lenses and I feel they're quite superior even than my a mount zeiss 85mm 1.4. But, I also fee that the A7RII isn't quite ready for...

Disclaimer: I don't like zoom lenses.Canon has EF 400mm f/5.6L USM. It's cheap It's lightweight I'm not a wildlife photographer. But when I do this lens come very handy in every aspect according to my need. I don't own this lens but I rent when I need also I may buy it in future. For certain reasons I'm planning to switch from Canon DSLR to other manufactures in the past. But I never could move to another system because others lack this lens. Why other competitors does not make a lens like...

Hello Is it a good choice choosing old Minolta lenses( 24-70mm f2.8 G & 80-200mm f2.8 HS APO) over their current Sony/ other 3rd party equivalents (Reason for choosing old Minolta Lens: they're cheaper) for the new A 99 II? How are the pictures going to be without image stabilization in the lens? Is A99 II IBIS helpful in this scenario? Thank you.
