Hey guys! Long story short: do I need a new body or would the Sigma 35mm 1.4 work well with the Sony A58 and improve the quality of my images? Here's more info: So I own a Sony A58 that I bought back in 2013 when I was quite a noob and not that interested in photography. I simply used it for my fashion blog. However, this year I started taking photography seriously and I'm enjoying it a lot. I am just struggling with low light photography. I don't know if it's the lens or the body, but I do...

I am interested in buying the Olympus M1 Mark 2, but I have 1 very simple question which I can't resolve from reading the manual: After you take a picture, can you view the results through the viewfinder, or only on the monitor.  I  currently have a Sony A77, and can see the pictures in the viewfinder immediately, which I find very helpful.

Hi, I was just given a sony a7sii from a friend who got a newer camera. I currently use an a77 with three lenses. They are the Sony 4.5/5.6/70-300 G SSM, the Sony 2.8/70-200 G SSM, and the Sony DT 2.8//16-50 SSM. Because these are A mount lenses and the a7s is an E Mount camera, I am trying to figure out the best way to use the lenses on the a7s. I would like to use the camera for astrophotography but also video. The main adapter I am looking at is the Sony LAEA3 adapter. what effects, if...

I have owned an A77mII since June 2014. I purchased the 4 year Protection Plus Plan and now have to use it as the Camera will not turn on. I have tried fully charged Batteries and tried the Reset procedure on Sony's website to no avail. After searching DPReview, It seems that Sony no longer services Cameras at the Larado facility and that Precision is my only option. I contacted Sony Extended Warranty Repair and they say that is true. I just wanted to double check with DPReviewers if this is...

I have been using the Sony A77 and now also have the A99II .  Should I continue to use the Image data converter or use the Capture 1 Express for sony that came with the A99ii or use something else.  I shoot in RAW and would like to use a single raw converter for both cameras to keep  good work flow that I can remember.

I noticed that there is a time lag between when the camera is turned on and when the GPS is acquired. Is there something I can do to speed it up?

I shot a wedding several weeks ago and am going through footage and keep running into multiple clips that have this same issue and its driving me insane. I don't believe this is rolling shutter or lighting flicker. The issue is hard lines that seem to move and they are worse the faster the motion is. please any help would be greatly appreciated. I am shooting on a sony A77, 23.976 fps, f1.8, shutter speed of 50, 1920x1080 https://youtu.be/iDQ0cFJC3wA

Hi, For some years we've been using the A-77 with a Metz 58 AF-2 flash and a Tamron 18-270 lens. They have given us almost 72,000 images. Recently we've noticed that more and more shots with the flash are either under or over exposed. Focusing is also becoming harder; the lens hunts more for focus and more shots are out of focus. The lens still looks pretty good, except that the rubber around the zoom ring has become loose. The camera is used > 95% indoors for shooting pups and dogs. It has...

Got a brother in law interested in photography.  His wife has the Sony A55, I have the A77, my mom has the A33.   None of us are experts.  We do have a lot of lenses, Minolta and Tamron (nothing new).  I need to get a camera for my brother in law that is relatively inexpensive, compared to the Sony's the rest of the family has, and can make use of our existing lens repertoire.  Any ideas?  No more than $400, please. Thanks --Richard Lane

Hi all I would appreciate some advice please. I've jumped ship from a Sony A77 SLT to Nikon D750 as of 6th December. I've been used to the Sony menus for the last 5 years so am finding the D750 menu structure and number of buttons slightly challenging! Is there a well written book or downloadable pdf version which is as good for the D750 as the book on the A77 by Gary Friedman. I found it well written and easily digestible. The D750 manual is heavy going to say the least. Hope you can all...
