Hi everyone. I've been using Sony mirrorless cameras, for the past couple of years, so I normally post in another forum. With certain lenses and certain shooting situations, I find a "dslr type" of camera preferable. I already own and use several A-mount lenses on my mirrorless cameras. So, I'd been thinking about picking up an A-mount camera. I just came across a very clean A57 + 18-55 for a good price. After checking it out, the A57 was in good physical and working condition, so I bought...

Hello Being a new convert to MFT (up until now I've been all Sony; A57 & RX100iii), I was surprised to find that the live view / evf in my new EM10ii does not always show the actual exposure/appearance of the image before releasing the shutter, no matter what settings I choose. For example, on both my Sony cameras if I increase the shutter speed to grossly underexpose the image the live view/evf will go dark by the corresponding amount - so the image in the evf always perfectly matches the...

I am hunting for a decent macro flash without breaking a bank. I know of Sony makes HVL-MT24AM and Sigma has EM-140 DG, which would probably be the best options but are a little too expensive for me. I have read about ring lights like Sony HVL-RLAM and HVL-RL1, but everyone says its better to stay away from them as they are continuous lights. What other options are possible as having a flash certainly helps with stopping the lens down to gain DOF?

I have a Sony SLT A57.  One day a few months ago, my SD card would not "spring out" of the slot.  I had to get some tweezers to pull it out.  So, I stuck it back in, and then back out again, but no spring eject anymore. I asked Dodd camera, who will not even look at it unless I pay the $40 look fee, advised I should just keep the existing card in there, and use the USB cord.  SIGH... I would like to get it fixed.... but at what cost? I love this camera, and I want to keep it for a while,...

Going on vacation to Europe. Lazy me says to take my 18-135mm SAM with my A57. OCD me says to take my Sony 16-50mm and my Tamron 70-300mm USD instead. I will also be taking my 35mm SAM for indoors. What do experienced travelers say? Thanks

I have an A57 and I was experimenting with the in-camera HDR and DRO this past weekend. I decided that the in-camera HDR looked better. I would like to try to do HDR with RAW files, I assume that would look even better, but at the expense of some extra work. I need some advice. I have been using DXO Optics Pro 9 for RAW files. DXO does not seem to have the capability to merge RAW files in any of their recent versions. What are some good (and simple) software packages to merge RAW files from...

Okay, I've been using the a57 & a65 for the past 4 1/2 yrs and have never tried Long Exposure photography and would like to try it.. I've seen several videos, stating that camera should be in Bulb mode, ok, understand and they say have the F stop at f/11... ok, tell me how in the heck can you set the f-stop while in bulb mode, you'll have to bear with me on understanding this stuff for I had 2 heart attacks and a mild stroke last year, and things are still a bit scrambled upstairs for me......

While reading through the available A68 manuals clears most of the things, one thing that's not mentioned anywhere is its buffer size. I hope its not a huge downsize from A77ii as except for A58(5 frames of JPEG+RAW); A77, A65 and A57 has decent sized buffers(13, 13, and 18 frames JPEG+RAW respectively). Anyone has any experience with it?
