The problem is once I send to my computer and try to add to iMovie it looks very grainy. The movement is good no jitter or anything like that but just looks more like 430p than 1080. So my question is is there a certain program to upload these videos to in order to maintain the quality? I want to use...

I've just recently started taking pictures and they have been pretty good but I'm looking to get another lens to go with my A57. I would like one that takes really sharp clear images. Any suggestions?  The lens that I have now is a 3.5-5.6/18-55 SAM. Thanks

Hi, dpreview community!  Recently I've been considering upgrading one of my lenses. Right now I have a Sony a57 and the Sony 35mm 1.8 SAM lens (along with two other lenses), and I've been looking into getting the Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art lens, but I'm concerned that spending that much money on a lens won't increase the quality and detail of my photos as much as it should. Is the quality of the photos limited by the body?  Is it worth it to upgrade lenses if my body will stay an entry-level...

I have a Sony SLT-A57. I've had it awhile and it my first dslr. I'm having a few setting problems. I have a natural eye for composition, but tweaking the settings has me being discouraged. I started in Automatic and Scene selection mode, but now use Program mode a lot. Manual mode is over my head! Actually dslr is over my head, but I try! My first question is why, when I look through the view finder on a bright sunny day, does the image I see seem very dark; not at all like what I'm seeing...

i was thinking about buying a Flashpoint Xplor600 with the sony trigger to allow for TTL and HSS. My SLTA57 has the old iIOS Minolta flash shoe but Flashpoint trigger has the Multi Interface shoe. Will using an adapter allow me to use the trigger and still have TTL/HSS capability? If not is there another way to accomplish this?

I was reviewing my pictures and dozed off and my camera fell on the floor, ( I know, I know, exciting pictures, snooze) and now the image stabilization doesn't work, and they want $115 per hour to fix it. I could quickly spend more than a used replacement would cost..Has anybody had this situation? Is it something you can fix yourself? My LCD screen appears to be delaminating, too. Love the camera, but could use a little guidance here. Thanks.
