Hi everyone, I'm new to this site. I have been using a Sony Nex3 camera, but have really outgrown it. I really want to step up my photography game, and after MUCH research have decided on the Nikon d750 with the Sigma art 24-105 lens. I currently do portraits of my kids, travel, and general photography, but want to get into landscape and more artistic photography. I have been saving up, and will get the camera and lens for Christmas. My question is when should I buy it? There is a great deal...
Broke out my Nex3 recently and decided to shoot in B&W. It appears that in Monochrome mode there is no option for manual control of shutter speed or aperture. I can, however, adjust Exposure Comp. Can anyone please clarify if this is correct, or am I missing something? Thank you.
I may be missing something here but I need to know. After upgrading from a NEX-3 to a NEX-7, I'm currently wading through all the settings, attempting to get to grips with things. My question is with regard to the focus points. On both cameras there are 25. I may sound like a complete newbie (which I am actually), but can I view all these points on screen simultaneously? At the moment (and on the NEX-3 also), there are 9, grouped in the centre of the screen. Am I completely misunderstanding...
I just got into photography and I have a good feeling that I'll be here for a while, so I know it's way to early to get a new camera since I already have a Nex-3. But I need something to save up for since I'm not really the wealthiest person on earth. I have some options down here, if you want to look over them and tell me your thoughts or you can put your own camera you think is good. P.S I love doing nature scenes as well as low light pictures. Greetings Fellow Photographers, I'm been addicted to a drug recently, and if you haven't guessed....the drug is PHOTOGRAPHY! I love photography so much, the thrill of getting the greatest breath taking pictures is what I craze for. Besides the point, my first camera is a Sony Nex-3, I had it for a few weeks and I got used to it........a bit. I have a few questions that I'll hope will be answered by you lovely photographers. Any good resources to learn from about taking pictures...
Hey everyone so I just noticed my Sony NEX-5T has a focusing noise issue (its noticable when its pretty quiet) when autofocusing it's more present with a high shutter speed or focus close on things on my kit lenses but on my SEL50F18 it's constant in video & before I take a photo with it. If any of you have a NEX 5R/5T please test it out! If mine is defective I will take it back for repair it's very annoying Thank you so much! (: It sounds like this I found a video on Youtube I wonder if it's...

So I have a few $$ and am looking at either the 55-210mm or the 18-200mm for my A6000. 1- How does the 18-200mm compare to the 55-210mm? 2- Is there a big difference between the silver and black versions? -- Novice photobug. Former NEX-3, F3, and 6 owner. Now a proud A6000 owner.http://davesnex-3photos.blogspot.com/
Hi I got the chance to get my hands on a 7 month old A7 RII for 50% off (nice friends ;-)). But I’m a complete hobby-photographer and just started to explore the world of photography. In the last 4 years i used an entry-level NEX3 with the kit-lenses 16-50 and 55-210. But now with the "naked" A7RII i feel lost on buying my first FE lens. I tried to analyse my photos from the last 3-4 years. - 80% landscape / 15% architecture / 5% portraits- 70% shot with the 16-50 lens- "favourite" focal...
