Hi! I got my new Sony a77ii last week, upgrading from an old Sony a200. Quite a learning curve! There's a feature I really like, and I'm trying to understand it! I've searched this forum as well as googling and find nothing. When I have my camera set on Superior Auto, Single Shooting and RAW, and I try to take a photo of something that is moving (a flag in the breeze for example), it says in the top of the viewfinder, "Cont. Shooting 3 Shot Cont. Shooting". When I press the shutter, 3 photos...
Hi I'd be really grateful if someone can help. My A200 has been under the bed for a year of so (in it's case). The camera is switching on and the shutter is working but no image is appearing on the LCD. I've tried changing the memory card and the lense and have also reformatted the card and rebooted the camera. Could be a sensor issue but how do I diagnose? Shaun
I'm really enjoying this combo (I know, the AF is slow sometimes), but every once in a while, my A99 shows that no lens is attached when I use the Tamron. The A99 froze as well a few times. I have lenses from Minolta and Sigma but I only seem to have this problem with the Tamron. I've cleaned the contacts and the aperture is working correctly. I have not seen this issue when the Tamron is used together with my A200, A700 and even my analog Dynax 7. BTW the Tamron is a speed demon on the Dynax...
Hello Everyone, I'm receiving my dad's K5 and am new to the Pentax world. I previously had a Sony A700 and A200. I am in need of a good general purpose lens and would like to know everyone's suggestions. I currently have a stock 18-55mm kit lens, and an old 50mm manual focus prime lens. I do a lot of rail fanning and landscape photography. Just trying to get something that would handle them both adequately until I can purchase a really nice lens. My price limit atm is 250. Thanks in...
I recently purchased a A330 body. I really wanted a vertical battery grip for it. But it seems even though Ownuser made one, they are just not available! So the question is, and doing this on a budget (body under $250), which second body would be a good choice/matchup to get that would have a vertical battery grip for it? A200? A500? Thanks for any input!-------------------------------Sony E SeriesA330 - 35-105 and 18-55Nex-318-55, 20mm, 60mm Sigma
Hi all. I was a A200 shooter and now just bought a A77II. I do have many problem with the AF. When i use my a200 with only center AF point. No matter how the background is, i can easily focus on the bird but not the background. However, for A77II, even i use center AF, 9 point AF (I can hold my center AF point at the bird body). All shoots goes to he background not the bird. Even with eagles with around 50m far, all shots dead. My af motor speed is high and my AF tracking time is 5. Did i do...
I hope this is the right place to pose these questions and seek advice. Looking for a camera to replace my well-used(and broken) A200, I am trying out a GX7, having chosen it over the K50. I'll use it to photograph grandchildren, landscapes, family, some wildlife and sports. I'm really drawn to the compactness of MFT, and the GX7 seems a good fit for me...except for one issue. The EVF is...disconcerting. After about a week with the GX7 and Panasonic 12-32mm lens, using both the evf and touch...

I heard a lot of praise for the CCD DSLRs such as the E-1, A350, and K100D Super. Some say they have better color rendering some say they have a "film-like look". I'm eager to actually experiment and test as to what these claims actually mean and so am thinking of getting a used 2nd hand DSLR with a CCD sensor. I am not considering Nikon because I do not have any Nikon glasses atm. The Sony CCD DSLRs such as the A350, A380, A390, appear to have the newest CCD (for a DSLR not including Leica...
