I'm considering getting the A7RIV and I mainly to macro photography. My only concern (besides the price 😅) is that diffraction might significantly diminish the value of having a 61mp sensor as I often shoot at narrower apertures (e.g. f8-f11 or so). Now that they're out in the wild, does anyone have any experience in this regard? Thanks :D
Hi guys, I have been contemplating to upgrade to E-mount for a while. I'm interested in the new A7r 4 despite few thing that I did not like. I was blown a way be the Eye-AF and tracking capabilities. I do mainly patriot and landscape.. but sometimes when I do few sport/wildlife, I want a camera that can fare well in this situation. My current A99II does a decent job in this regard.Just wanna know how much better the A7r4 would be in fast sport/wildlife compared to the A99II? Other question:If...
Hi there, I currently own a Sony SLT-a77 so I think it's time to upgrade. I have two questions. 1. Sony a99 II, Sony a7R III or Sony a7R IV? Photography is a hobby for me and I dont want to spend too much if I don't have to but I also don't want to cheap out. Things I know: a99 II is full frame but fits a-mount lens (the photos will still be cropped unless I buy full frame lenses Also a7R III vs. a7R IV.... 42 vs. 61 mp...and I would have to buy an adapter for a-mount lenses or spend $$$$$$...

Thinking of moving into Sony system with the A7R IV (Love the crop-ability and AF speed spec wise but have not tested yet). i am enthusiast who takes scenery, macros and my kids ( somehow gifted with the Speed force, no idea who they got it from). Considering the following (ignoring budget): Option A: 1) F2.8 24-70 GM 2) F2.8 70-200 GM Option B: 1) F4 24-105 G 2) F1.8 135 GM As per conversation research with other photographers in my neighborhood (Cannon / Nikon). Many said there are no...
As the lossless compression is probably the most important feature of A7R IV, which we did not get ;-) I'm again thinking about converting uncompressed RAWs do DNG on import. Just to clarify I'm not going to use Sony cRAWs - just want to have all those 14 bits ;-) R4's files are huge and lossless compression in DNG shrinks them almost twice - this is an option to seriously consider. As far as I know the RAW data itself is not altered when converting to DNG, but lots of metadata is lost (focus...
