In a dark environment with a strong light source, I’m getting these hard lines/color shift within the falloff of the light. Does anyone know if this is a fixable issue within the camera’s settings? Or is this just the nature of the high megapixel? Can the low ISO be the cause?Any help is appreciated. I just started using this camera. I've got an a7rIV and I just got a brand new Sony 90mm Macro lens. My camera is on firmware v1.20 and the lens shows as Ver. 01. I can't seem to get the lens to focus reliably on close up stuff. I have the lens switch set for close distance focusing. OSS is On (if that matters). I set the camera to AF-S. I've been testing it in A mode and I have tried using f/2.8, f/8, and even f/16 (briefly) When I try to focus on a small up-close subject, the lens just racks the focus in and out and almost...

Hi all, Has anyone experience of this lens on the Sony A1 (or other A series bodies) and could perhaps do a test, as I don't know whether my lens has an issue or not. The issue is, focus on a subject, zoom in/out = loss of focus, momentarily and sometimes longer (OOF thru viewfinder/green focus boxes). Happens with eye AF on or off and VC on/off. I have tried all focus areas, my normal choice is "tracking spot (med or large)", AF-C and low/med frame rate Could someone please do a quick test...
Hello folks, I am currently using ARIV, i bought it new brand just hardly a year back. Recently i encounter a strange problem. Few times (not always) i notice when i shoot in strong backlight/Anti light shots, when i focus in the light i can see a rolling black strap kind of shadow lines, they comes and go and when i click the shutter while it happens the pictures looks like behind the light linings. I don't know what is that? why is this happening? Is it a problem with hardware? sensor? I...

Does anyone in the expert base know of some more robust camera reviews spelling out the items which are left fuzzy in the advertising material? Question 1: Mechnical shutter FPS with full raw (no JPGs, no lossy processed stuff) DPR talks about "around 7 FPS". Is it 6 or 7 or 8? Any explicit sources on this? Question 2: Silent shutter FPS with full raw (no JPGs, no lossy stuff) Spec sheets talk about 7 FPS. Does that number also come down when wanting to use not quality restricted raw? Any...

with the underwhelming new products from Sony lately I am starting to wonder whether the latest interview from Terushi Shimizu [President and CEO of Sony Semiconductor Solutions (SSS)] has bad news for us ILC shooters? ( being interested in better options ) He said: still images are expected to exceed ILC [interchangeable lens camera] image quality That's a bold statement. But who else than the head of sensor devision should know better? Later he defines 2024 as the parity of image quality -...
Can anyone point me to some reliable information on the recommended method for wet cleaning the sensor on an a7R IV? In particular, I've found contradictory claims on two different aspects of the cleaning: Cleaning fluid: The are some reports that Eclipse fluid is not recommended for Sony a7 sensors (although I haven't seen any that specifically reference the a7R IV), and others that it's perfectly fine. I've also read claims that Aeroclipse is less likely to damage the sensor, but it seems...
