I purchased the Sony A7 iii 2 weeks ago, but have not really done anything by way of picture taking as its been so cold in my part of the country. Southwest Ontario Canada. 1. I purchased the camera with the kit lens as the price was good and I do not understand why people are selling off this lens as I think that is is really not a bad lens at all. These pictures posted are all taken with the 28-70mm (kit lens)

Hello, camera : A7iii Since the update from 2.00 to 2.10 the IBIS is shaking and sometimes i have the " turn off then turn on " error everything was ok with version 2.00. i would like to downgrade if possible but i don't find the update 2.00, only the 2.10, and i don't know if its possible to downgrade even if i would have the right version. when i turn off IBIS, there is no more shaking, but there is still the " IBIS motor " seeking for something i have to shake it a little to stop it.  if...

Due to the many positive reviews, I purchased the FE 85mm f.18 lens not long ago to pair with my APS-C NEX-5N until I upgrade to full frame. I figured it would be a smart investment to get a full frame lens which mounts on my APS-C camera for the time being until I can use it later on with full frame once I upgrade. I was very happy with the purchase until I unexpectedly found lots of articles about the striping issue. It appears that this problem exhibits itself the most on the A7 III (which...

New Sony owner here. I'm an event pro shooting with Panasonic cameras for the past 5 years, and I've just added an a7RII to my arsenal. I really, really like using Panasonic's Touchpad AF to select and move AF points with a tap on the rear screen while looking through the viewfinder. I expect I'm going to miss this feature on my a7RII, and I'm wondering whether this feature on the a7III/a7RIII is any good. Reviewers rave about the new joysticks (far inferior to Touchpad AF in my view), but...

New to a7 iii. Im used to back button focus when used dslr, but when I got the Sony camera I noticed an annoying this that I cant find how to resolve and I need help with.  Since the AF-ON button is already set to focus I went to the menus and set the option 'AF w/shutter' to OFF.  I then noticed that the exposure lock was also removed from the shutter button. So now the shutter only releases a frame. How can I restore the ability to lock the exposure when I press the shutter half way without...

As far as I can tell, it seems that IBIS and lens OSS work together quite well with the A7 iii without having to turn on off or on either, but how about when mounted on a tripod? What do you guys do?

Hi all! I discovered that my Sony A7III sits unevenly on flat surfaces. There are four feet, or contact points rather, on the underside of the camera and the one on the front of the grip and the back left one are the only ones making simultaneous contact with the surface when sitting on a table for instance. Mind that the lens has to be small enough to not make contact with the surface simultaneously, or that there is no lens attached. The wobble is about 0,5-1 millimeters I'd wager and it's...

Hi, I currently shoot my cat with Sony a6000 with kit lens. I always shoot my cat like in the attached photo. I always need the background not to be blurred. The background is very important to me, it must be crisp like in the attached image. On the Sony a6000 this is not an issue cause it is APS-C, but I want to move on to a full frame camera. I have been thinking on Sony a7 III. However I need a lens that will keep the background crisp, not blurry. and I don't want to set the F number to...

Hi all, I am trying to find a comparison of the same photo in RAW between X-T2/3 & A7 III (preferably a portrait). Does anyone have such RAW files for sharing?
