I actually have several questions. I have never used anything more than a PHD button camera, and even stopped using those because of smartphones.
For getting shots of my kids in sports and performances and such, and doing a podcast I am starting (unrelated), I grabbed a Sony a7II as my introductory camera. It seemed a good choice and not too insanely priced.
So, the first question is:The Sony website has changed dramatically since the manual was written and the software on the site...

Just the other day, I tested the Tamron SP 28-75mm on my A7 II. The icon for SteadyShot appears normally, but stabilization doesn't engage in photo mode. It works fine in video for some reason. Was this a fluke or does the adapter not support IBIS for stills?

I have Sony a7 iii camera and I've aquire recently a Sigma lens 60-600 4.5-6.3 DG DN Sport. I cannot find a teleconverter to work with both, not from Sony nor Sigma. Does anyone know what teleconverter shall I use between sony a7iii and sigma 60-600?

Cheers to all! Neighbor offered this combo in a fairly decent shape, body with one rubber piece missing (around the CF slot door) and a lens, which looks OK once I cleaned it. I am considering A7C as a step up from my a6500 and my trusted NEX-6, the reason I am considering A7C is to get better quality for shooting my one-year-old, although my existing gear delivers in most circumstances.. except low light, where the noise takes over the quality, which happens a lot.. I shoot raw, have a Godox...

Hi all,
I'm new to this community and was hoping I could get some help with an upcoming event.
I have an event next week in the UK where I will need to record a continuous schedule of speakers for around 2-3 hours (most likely 3 hours).
I currently have a Sony A7 II and unfortunately this a) only records up to 30 mins and b) cannot be plugged into power and continue to record. As I've been meaning to purchase a video/camcorder does anyone have any suggestions that would fit the below...

of my brand new GR III X. I got the camera today and want to ask if it's normal or if I have to reclaim it.
When it is turned off and I move the body , I can hear something inside moving and "falling around".
I assume it is the ibis, since it is stops making this sounds when turned on. What confuses me is, on my Sony a7 ii the sensor is parked when turned off and not making noise due to falling around in the body.
Is it defective or normal?

Hi!
I'm looking to buy a 70-200mm lens for street, travel and all sorts of photography. I've been looking at the Sony 70-200mm f4 and I can get it used for 700-800€ which I think is a good deal. I have looked at the Tamron 70-180 f2.8 and I know is a bit sharper, lighter and obviously a f2.8, but I'm just conserned about the weathersealing and dust getting inside, which I know is a common problem with this lens. The internal zoom of the Sony would fix that. In Finland it snows a LOT and i...

Hi!
I found a great deal on a A7 III with a sc of just 35K but the only problem with it is that the sd card slot n. 2 (the slower slot) won't lock the card in. It works just fine and registers the card but won't lock it into place. I found that it can be used just like normal when you just close the door with the downside that the card can fall off if not opened carefully. Apparently this is a common problem with A7 III cameras. I wouldn't be doing commercial shooting (until a few years...

Hi!
I am looking to buy my first own camera. I've done drone photography all over the world and have borrowed my neightbours Olympus OM-D E-M5 mk II. Allthough I haven't owned a camera before I wouldn't say I'm a total beginner and I understand all of the basics and a lot more. Here in Finland where I live it's very dark most of the year so good low light capabilities would be great. I would be shooting mostly street photography but also some portraits and trying out different styles of...

Hi,
I have A7 II. I was never impressed by the quality of its image stablilizer for videos. I am thinking of updating to A7IV. How do you compare the IS in both? Would it be worth the upgrade?
Thanks
A.J.
