Howdy, guys, I've got a bit of an oddball for y'all. I wanna add a decent 24mm lens to my kit, and as it happens, I have both an a7 ii and an a6000 - therefore, both of these lenses are legitimately an option to me. Can anyone weigh in on how these compare?

I‘m about to pull the trigger on the a7 IV. However a few reviews say that the iso performance is a lot worse (1/2 to 1 stop) than on the a7 III. Is there someone that made some tests on that? How is the comparison if you downscale the a7 IV images to 24MP? Thanks in advance

Hey guys, I've been shooting at high shutter speeds more than usual recently and thus turned off the e-Front Curtain Shutter. Now, if you've ever used an a7 ii, you know it produces quite the gnarly shutter sound, which has me worried. Does it at all make a difference to shutter life expectancy, or do I not need to worry? Thanks in advance!

I had an Olympus omd em1 camera and a good Pro lens which got water damaged after I fell in a lake. I claimed on the house insurance. I now have some funds to replace them. I still have two good Pro four third lenses 70mm - 150mm and a prime 60 mm these are doubled as it’s a 4/3 rd, so am looking at buying and em1 mk3 not the new OM1.I thought about buying two as I do weddings, landscapes, pets, interior, so need two cameras. Then thought about buying an Olympus as above and a Sony full frame...

I've got a Sony a7 III and looking for an external hardrive to keep all my pics on (mostly raw), how many Tb would you ideally go for. I was thinking 2 but is that too little, too much?  Thanks

Howdy All, Currently have an original a7s which I got for landscape astrophotography, however have recently been really enjoying shooting video by only moonlight. I'm mainly shooting with manual lenses and shooting at or around ISO 51200 as I'm located in a rural area, well away from light pollution.. I want to upgrade to a camera with 4k internal and for my low budget am currently stuck on the fence between a used a7s II or a7 III. Does the higher resolution BSI sensor of the a7 III mean it...

I just started subbing to this forum and recently I have been getting more interested in macro photography as well. As of now I have a few lenses that I am weighing up against each other. Just for fun I have already got some close up filters from Polaroid coming in, macro rings/helicoids and various enlarger lenses that I've had some fun with. The only "macro lens" I have is the Industar 61 LZ which has been great fun so far, but I still find myself wanting something modern as well. FYI I...

Hi there, I'll open by saying I'm certainly no pro, but with my A7 IV on it's way I'm looking to get a proper long range zoom for things like airshows and wildlife. Previously I just used my 24-240mm on my A7 II. Most of the time I would be shooting it at 240 which left me wanting greatly. Some options I was considering are pretty obvious: Sony 200-600mm Sigma 150-600mm Sport Tamron 150-500mm Sigma 100-400mm I'm not really considering primes at this point as I'm looking for flexibility and...

Hi everyone, my current camera is an a6300, which I'm mostly very happy with. I'm considering adding an a7 ii to my kit bag, partly because I'd like IBIS, and partly because I'm simply curious about the image quality for landscapes etc. (Those extra physical controls on the body of the camera wouldn't hurt either.)  I'm looking to buy used, and the a7 ii is quite affordable. I understand that an a7 iii or an a7r ii might be better options, but both of those are around twice the price (used)...

Hello all.I recently got my SIGMA 150-600 f5-6.3 Sports e-mount version and I am looking for a 2.0 teleconverter.Of course, being an e-mount lens I am using it with my Sony A7II.Ionce used my Sigma 150-600 contemporary   for Canon with the Sigma MC-11 Adapter and a teleconverter 2x for Canon... worked well.It was used like this:  objective - teleconverter 2x - mc-11- A72 bodyNow, having the e-mount version of the sports version, the focus is better, the image is sharper... but I can only find...
