I really like the images this camera produces. What I don't like are the controls. The AF system has a lot of features, but it needs quite some button pushes to go from for example AF-C flexible spot to AF-S wide to be able to use eye AF. Other than that it is a very nice camera, even after all these years.

Review after almost 3 years of usage: Having used the camera for 3 years, I thought I'd give it a review. Focusing speed is very fast (with the right lenses) although compared to newer cameras it might be a bit inaccurate especially in low light. There is also 11fps mode which I use often, although the buffer fills up very quickly despite using a U3 card (the camera only writes up to U1 speed) Image quality still holds up well (again with the right lenses) Viewfinder, although of a pretty low ...

This camera caught my eye at a big box retailer on clearance for $549 with 16-50mm zoom lens so I said hey why not and put down the money. I took it home and started playing with this little guy thinking did I waste my money or did I find a diamond on the floor of a huge retailer. I have to preface this with the knowledge that I have several A-mount cameras and a few A-Mount lenses and loved them but they were getting a little long in the tooth. Wow, I am glad I bought it. The image quality ...

What a camera. Absolutely love it. I was originally in the market for a Fuji X100T then I compared the 2 on this site and ended up buying the Sony. I am so happy I did - outperforms the X100T in all respects. Beautiful sharp images. And some great software add-ons too. I previously owned a Sony A350 and my next camera will be a Sony A7. In my opinion way ahead of the field and it seems as if still better things are yet to come.

I am a new at lenses changing devices and without mirror of course also.. So I am still learning it - but until now really happy.. And it is really good when start to shot with manuall options of Aperture/Shutter speed and others. Had a big problem after two weeks I got it - when I used my old SD card that a plastic was a little broken.. so that SD card at some point broke all mechanic at my camera SD slot - so was have to spend 100 eur more for repearing it - but really happy they did it.. ...

I have been using the a6000 for about 4 months now.  I unloaded all my Nikon gear about a year ago and have been waiting to get something a bit more portable like a rangefinder or smaller Nikon. I was not happy with the Nikon offerings in the $500 to$ 1500 range too much old school legacy features.  Then I saw the a6000.  At first I was not really thrilled, honestly the salesperson helped sway my decision to go Sony.  I am glad he did.  This is an awesome camera with features beyond anything ...
