I needed an affordable and compact camera for shooting action (NCAA Division I soccer), special events, and family portraits. I researched, watched video reviews, looked at sample images and thought about it for a long time before purchasing. When I found the bundle I made the purchase at a local Best Buy store. At the same time I purchased a Nikon DSLR bundle (D3300) at Costco to compare. With either one I had an affordable deal. To be honest, I really liked the Nikon a little better for ...

I am a new at lenses changing devices and without mirror of course also.. So I am still learning it - but until now really happy.. And it is really good when start to shot with manuall options of Aperture/Shutter speed and others. Had a big problem after two weeks I got it - when I used my old SD card that a plastic was a little broken.. so that SD card at some point broke all mechanic at my camera SD slot - so was have to spend 100 eur more for repearing it - but really happy they did it.. ...

The A6000 has been around for a while now and the huge amount of positive reviews out there are pretty accurate when I compare to my own experience. It's a fantastic camera for street, everyday family/travel but also for more serious work. I still can't figure out how they managed to squeeze so many goodies into such a small camera. :) Positives (1) Excellent resolution (2) AF and exposure do a good job (3) Configure almost any button functionality ...

I have been using the a6000 for about 4 months now.  I unloaded all my Nikon gear about a year ago and have been waiting to get something a bit more portable like a rangefinder or smaller Nikon. I was not happy with the Nikon offerings in the $500 to$ 1500 range too much old school legacy features.  Then I saw the a6000.  At first I was not really thrilled, honestly the salesperson helped sway my decision to go Sony.  I am glad he did.  This is an awesome camera with features beyond anything ...

I've had my Sony for about 9 months now.  In general, it lives up to its claims on capture rate and autofocus.  I'm less than impressed with the kit lenses and not interested in spending $1000 for a single lens.  In particular, I miss the low f stop lenses I have with my other cameras. I wish Sony would come up with some reasonable mid-range lenses. I did however, purchase an adapter ring to allow me to use my Nikon lenses.  The most useful lens is my Nikon 50mm f1.8.  It works well but ...

I'm enjoying this camera and have it all dialed in from a menu aspect. I love the results and the bang for the buck. Sony's achilles heel to me is it's lenses. While Panasonic, Olympus, and Fujifilm offer pro level lenses and lot's of them Sony does not. I mean they have some decent lenses but the choices in quantity are small and the quality of some, even in their higher end Zeiss line, are suspect of not being great lenses along the lines of Oly pro and Fuji X stuff. And they are not ...

NO TOUCH SCREEN and the 1990's arrow keys to input passwords for WiFi and the like is down right cheap. Unfortunately there can be no future firmware updates to correct this very obvious oversight until a new version comes out. The whole WiFi and app experience stinks. While I can't complain about the performance and price of the camera for its picture taking abilities (after all that's why one buys a camera) it's on the software side and in particular the apps that they charge for are ...
