I have one word to say for this camera: Phenomenal! Sony a6000 with Sony FE 70-200 F4 G lens at 185 mm (277 mm full frame equiv.), f4, 1/320 sec, ISO800, hand-held.

11fps and quick focus makes me happy capturing my kids playing. I just wish the battery life would have been better. I just bought another battery pack to take care of that. You just cannot beat the features it gives at that cost. An extra battery pack never hurts anyway. I was a long time Canon enthusiast user with D350 (yes, I know. Old but it worked for me), 70-200/2.8, 17-50/2.8 and 105M/2.8 lenses. I was planning to replace the camera with a newer one this year to complement my ...

a major issue with macro shots is the depth of field. the A6000's available 30 mm macro gives very good depth of field since the shorter the focal leangth the greater the depth of field. The available 30 mm macro gives fine photos with good depth of field. vinegar weed

Great camera! Has a modern rangefinder look to it. I have quite a few nikon lens from the old days and with an adapter work great, (manual focus only) .  For the money it can't be beat and the kit lens is not bad at all. Only con to me is the battery life.

The a6000 is is a fantastic camera I have own the a99 have owned a77i and a77ii and a55 and canons previous to that. This small compact is fully programable custamisable it produces fantastic results. With the correct setting's the af is spot on....ergonomics are intuitive if used for a week. I researched the other brands and was seriously looking at xt range but the slightly lower mp count was honestly the only thing that put me off. I picked this camera up refurbished from the sony outlet ...

What a camera. Absolutely love it. I was originally in the market for a Fuji X100T then I compared the 2 on this site and ended up buying the Sony. I am so happy I did - outperforms the X100T in all respects. Beautiful sharp images. And some great software add-ons too. I previously owned a Sony A350 and my next camera will be a Sony A7. In my opinion way ahead of the field and it seems as if still better things are yet to come.

I bought it 9 month ago and i took over 5000 picture. Image Quality: Very good IQ, i am not experiencing any problem with the famous Sony's lossy Raw. Controls: you  have a good number of direct control considering the size of the camera and the most of them are customizable. I hate the lack of Min shutter speed setting, this is my greatest complain about a6000. The Memory Recall mode can memorize a lot of settings, i always shoot in this mode. Portability: in my opinion..size matters..and ...

There was a problem with my A6000 in that the colours -mainly red were too too weak, I played around with the saturation -up to plus 2 but as this spoilt the colour balance would not use it like that. I did notice if a small part of the frame had a reddish object showing the red colour seemed correct--but if you zoomed in without doing anything else the reddish roof faded --as if the exposure was over exposed ( blown out) A direct comparison was made with my Canon SX700 and LG G2 phone and ...

Bought to supplement my existing NEX-6 The mirror-less body was far to prone to dust and debris on CCD. I now run the NEX-6 with the 55-210 lens and the a6000 with an SEL18-55 a6000 digital/manual focus feature does not work. Software bug that I rang Sony about but I was advised that they cannot do anything about it! When manually focussing, the image zooms to a portion of the frame but takes up to 10 seconds to return to standard frame. Camera is set to 2 seconds. This rendered the camera in ...

Disclaimer: Before you all bash and hate, my opinion and review is based on my personal needs and wants. This may be a great camera for you in which you should certainly go out and buy it, but never take one person's opinion too seriously. I hope however that this will share some insightful information. Enjoy :) So the a6000 is one of the most popular, most defining mirrorless cameras out there right now. It's certainly affordable, compact and loaded with features. It retails for about $600 ...
