Hi all! First post here. I'm looking for a gimbal that allows clearance for a portrait mounted camera. Weird, I know. But I tattoo, and there's not a better way to document the final results due to the taller-than-wider shape of the human body (and mobile devices). Of course I'll be filming in landscape orientation as well. But if I can't gimbal in portrait, I might start looking for a camera with IBIS instead. I'll be using an X-T2 with 23mm f2 and 50mm f2. Pretty light setup. There are many...

I mainly shoot landscapes, travel, hiking, and astrophotography. Currently, my setup is an a6000, a Sony 18-105 f4 (all purpose zoom), and a Sigma 16mm 1.4 (astro). However, I have found the Sony 18-105 lacking in terms of sharpness so I am considering replacing it with a Sigma 18-35 f1.8 and a Sigma MC-11. I could probably sell both of my current lenses and get the Sigma setup for about $800 (used). My concern is that most of these reviews are based on portrait photography, not landscapes....

Dear friends, I have read the forum for a few weeks now, trying to get the best option for my new equip, and I have some doubts that I hope you can help me with them (I also hope to be in the right part of the forum). The body is easy, I choose Sony Alpha a6400. I am a wildlife and birdwatching enthusiast, and I think that it a very good option (I know that it is even more important the lense). 4k, sealed and phase-detection points were my points with it. Now, the problem that I have....

I've had an A6000 for a few years and love it.  However, over the last year or so, the EVF has been developing a problem.  There are black areas in the display at the lower left and lower right corners.  They are circular in shape, centred at the corner, so that makes them two quarter-circles.  They were very small at first, but then seem to be growing.  It now covers about half the overall area of the finder.  Photos, focus, back screen are okay, but just EVF is becoming much less usable....

Hi guys, I hope you can help me out on this. I started as portrait photographer a few months ago, currently using my Sonya6000 + Sony 35mm f1.8 and Sigma 16mm f.14 for wider shots. I have the opportunity to buy a full frame camera and two glasses in the US when my sister traveled next January. I thought on buying the A7rii as my main full frame camera, but I can't decide on which lenses to get. Here's my instagram account so you can get a look what pictures I'm taking right...

Hello, I really want to take photos of the milky way, the northern lights and landscape in general. I don't have a wide angle lense nor one with a wide aperture now though. I have the Nikon D850 and the Nikkor 28-120 f/4,0 lens. I used the Sony A6000 for milky way shots before but wasnt completely satisfied. So what are the best lenses for the milky way and the northern lights for a full frame camera? Some contenders may be: 1. Nikon Nikkor 14-24mm F2,8 2. Sigma 14-24mm F2,8 3. Sigma 14mm...

The A6000 I use constantly adjusts focus which is something I do not want it to do. I have it set to AF-S, usually with the small, movable spot focus setting. I assumed that AF-C was the setting that attempts to adjust focus constantly. If I find a group of birds in a tree I want the focus to remain fixed no matter what the lens is pointed at. Losing and regaining focus has caused me to miss many shots where a subject moves about and returns to its original position.

But then my camera stays like this and doesn't connect.  Good evening everyone. I'm trying to use the feature where I control my a6000 with my iPhone 6s. I have to connect my camera to my phone via WiFi which I have done before to send pictures to my phone. All of a sudden, it's not working and it just says "connecting" on my camera screen but it doesn't connect(check out the photos). If someone could please help me out, I'd be super grateful. Thanks! Says it's connected on my phone...
