I had various ILC's, A5000, A6000 and A6400. I am changing lenses quite often, always inside a room only and camera mount pointed down. While I haven't had any issues with dust on sensor with those APS-C cameras, I always find a visible dust on the A7C sensor after the lens is changed. Fortunately the air blower has always worked well, but it is still a little bit uncomfortable. It looks like I am not alone: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4435319 This problem was never so important...

Hello! I'm really new to this. I'd like to try reversing the lens for macro photography & have little idea which ring adapter I need to get. The lens is a 40.5MM SELP1650 & it's for a Sony a5000.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I was wondering if there's a way to get better quality videos, in particular in terms of Noise and dynamic range using Sony's APSC cameras. In my experience, Panasonic cam videos and even the video from my modern phones like the iPhone 11 / Samsung Note 10+ tends to look more detailed and less noisy than what my A5000 puts out. Is there anyway to reduce noise? I've tried using default settings, reducing ISO and then brightening it in post, but nothing seems to help much. I'm quite shocked...

Hi! I'm a complete beginner when it comes to lenses. I've been using a Sony a5000 with the lense it came with (3.5-5.6/16-50) to shoot top-down videos of my desk for a few years. I find when I zoom in, the picture quality is much nicer, clearer and overall more appealing. When zoomed out, the edges are fuzzy and distorted. I'm wondering why this is, and what kind of lens would be a good upgrade for me (or even a camera upgrade?). I usually film a white blank page most while I draw or write on...

Found an ad posted locally for an a6400 @ $500 - New in Box. Sounded too good to be true and I don't really need it, but I told myself it would make a much nicer backup camera than my a5000. Back and forth with the seller via text, they answered questions about warranty and place of purchase with "it's new" but agreed to $450. Took a lens and battery along and met up. Sketchy dude, sketchy car, pristine camera in matching box. Tested with lens and battery, camera appeared to turn on to the...

Hello, For owners of an RX10 iii / iv that have owned an APSC e-mount; what would be the equivalent AF performance in terms of an APSC e-mount camera? For example, would the varous AF modes and performance of the RX10 iii in compare to say, an NEX 5 or more like an A5000 or better? I'm especially interested in the long end. I've read various posts and watched numerous video but still don't have a clear idea. I know the NEX series well, so it's a good way for me to get a ballpark idea as the...

See a lot of article online comparing Fuji's APSC lineup againts other brands' FF, for example, X-T series against Sony A7 or A9 series.Shouldn't Fuji ApsC be comapred against other company's APSC, to be fair? Like shouldnt Sony's A5000 and A6000 series be used instead of A7 or A9? If not, doesn't it means Fuji will be at a IQ disadvantage? To compare against Sony's FF cameras, shouldn't it be Fuji's GFX series instead?Just curoius, hope this question doesn't sounds silly.

Hi all, I am thinking on changing my first camera, a5000 as the a6300 is on a great discount. I can get it for about 580€. The reasons i want to change my current camera are: Screen Resolution - The resolution is too low. A lot of times, I have shot photos, especially with low shutter, looking good in the camera screen, but then they are out of focus or moved in my PC.  More focus points - Well I am not sure if this will help with manual lenses Easier to navigate and handle - 6300 comes with...

https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/61837968 Similarly, my 2 yrs. old kit zoom got stuck while closing on shutdown, body a5000. It's stuck solid ca. 1/3 out, while the camera reports UNKNOWN LENS, PLEASE ATTACH PROPERLY. Nothing I've tried thus far short of disassembling the lens has worked, so i wonder how common this issue is? Any hints will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi So currently I have the Canon 400D, which is 12 years old, and I'm planning on upgrading to a new camera soon. Right now I'm looking at either the Sony A6000 or the A6300 with the two kit lens (one wide angle and one telephoto). I mainly shoot birds and street photography and I would like to take my camera with me on tramps, which is why I started looking at the Alpha lineup in the first place due to their small size. So here's the thing: Does the increase in focus points on the A6300...
