Sony a5000 with Samyang 12mm/f2 manual lens, I want to zoom in to check focus, but view screen says  This doesn’t happen with kit lens.  I want to use this lens for star/night skies, and sharp focus is an issue. Is there a workaround for this?

With new bodies out there will Sony upgrade the Alpha cameras? I am asking as I gave away my old A5000 and went full frame. It’s heavy and never long enough!

hi all, I just purchased EOS RF camera, it is really excellent mirrorless budget full frame camera. Anyone using EOS RF for astro photography and stacking images? I am looking for experience sharing over this RF camera specially, I did own OLD Sony a5000 IRmod, and Nikon D5300 IRmod camera, which doing well. Hence, I am consider moving into better camera with full frame low noise. Once I confirm, this RF camera is suitable for Astro photo shooting, I will have it remove IR cut and low pass...

hi all, My Sony a5000 RAW files has 5456x3632 resolution. I select standard, the output view looks very much same as single image from Sony a5000, but reduced resolution to only 2736x1828. I also tried Nikon D5300 stacking, RAW files is 6000x4000, but output from Deepstacker was also 3008x2008. Seems it reduce by 50%.  Do I have option change it back to my true Sony a5000 / Nikon D5300 resolution output ? thanks --James Kei VLOGhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjf-_EMlYPv8KuE44rkPQsQ

hi all, I recently pickup TTartisan 35mm f1.4 lens E mount lens after reading good comment online. I begin using it my a5000 camera. I switch on MF Assist, switch on Peaking (RED) , it was great easy to use, taken many pictures. However, when I using F1.4, I begin focus to wrong spot, the LCD screen not large enough to view the difference for f1.4 with peaking. I switch on Focus Magnif. Time ( no limit ). But then howto actually trigger focus magnifier ? I know in A7 camera, it is C1 button....

Hello,How do I get sharp images? I am a beginner and have a sony alpha 5000 camera. For safari I bought a Sony 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 lens and A-mount to E-mount adapter. Pictures are very unsharp at every zoom-distance but even at 75mm. I tried to change the setting to different programs but the pictures remain unsharp. I also tried to put the camera on a table to avoid movement but this does not help. I really hope someone can advice me what to do!! Thank you a lot in advance! Kind regards.

Hey guys! I'm a complete camera noob who's hopefully going to see the northern lights at the end of this year, hence I'm looking to buy a second hand camera. I'm pretty tight on budget (below £300) so after doing some research I've narrowed down my options to an A5000 with kit lens (18-55mm F3.5-5.6) and a RX100III which is about 25% more expensive than the A5000. If I go for the A5000, I'll most probably not be getting a better lens. Would like to hear some opinions on which camera is better...

I am working to figure out if I can find an adapter for my Argus C44 lens to fit to my Sony a5000. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi all, My Sony A5000 has some problem with its central button (the one right in the centre of the rotating dial, see attached picture), which is super hard to successfully click (as any high pressure often ends up activating the nearby buttons, while normal pressure isn't registered. I presume there's some dust underneath. Anyone else with a Sony APSC with experience in such issues? Did anyone successfully open and clean their cam? How easy/difficult is it? Could there be a different issue?

I had various ILC's, A5000, A6000 and A6400. I am changing lenses quite often, always inside a room only and camera mount pointed down. While I haven't had any issues with dust on sensor with those APS-C cameras, I always find a visible dust on the A7C sensor after the lens is changed. Fortunately the air blower has always worked well, but it is still a little bit uncomfortable. It looks like I am not alone: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4435319 This problem was never so important...
