Sony Xperia Z4 Overview
In terms of both design and technology the Xperia Z4 it's only a relatively minor update to the predecessor Xperia Z3. At 6.9mm the IP68-certified metal housing is a little thinner than before and the latest Android version, 5.0 Lollipop, is now powered by an 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. However the 5.2-inch 1080p screen remains the same size and resolution.
Not much has changed in the camera department either. As before, images are captured on a 1/2.3-inch 20.7MP CMOS sensor with F2.0 aperture but no optical image stabilization system. The 5MP front camera now comes with digital image stabilization though. The main camera is capable of recording 4K video. The Xperia Z4 also offers a two-stage shutter button.
The operating system and apps operate on 3GB of RAM. For storage, 32GB of memory is available and can be expanded via a microSD slot up to 128GB. The Xperia Z4 comes with a 2,930 mAh non-removable battery which is a slightly reduced capacity from the previous model.
