Sony Xperia Z3+
The Xperia Z3+ is the international version of the Japan-only Xperia Z4 and, especially in the camera department, only a minor upgrade over the predecessor Xperia Z3. In fact, the main camera specification remains unchanged. A 1/2.3-inch 20.7MP Sony Exmor sensor is coupled with a F2.0 lens offering an equivalent focal length of 25mm. The front camera has been upgraded to a 5MP resolution though and also offers a 25mm focal length.
The upgrades are more significant in the processor department where the Z3's Snapdragon 801 has been replaced by the new Snapdragon 810. There are still 3GB of RAM on board but storage has been upped from 16 to 32GB. While various manufacturers are opting for Quad-HD displays in their top-of-the-line models Sony sticks with the same 5.2-inch 1080p TRILUMINOUS display as in the predecessor.
At only 6.9mm the new model is a touch thinner than the Z3 which means battery capacity had to be slightly reduced, to 2,930mAh. That said, according to Sony the Xperia Z3+ should still be good for two days of battery life. Like previous Xperia Z models the Z3+ offers IP65/IP68 certification, making it water and dust proof.
