Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Overview
The Z3 Compact is the successor to the Xperia Z1 Compact and pretty much a smaller version of the flagship Xperia Z3. The main differences to the Z3 are the smaller 4.6-inch 720p screen and at 16GB storage and 2GB RAM reduced memory. At 2600 mAh the Compact also comes with a smaller battery but most other specs are identical.
The Sony Triluminous display comes with X-Reality technology that automatically adjusts brightness and contrast for improved outdoor viewing and Android 4.4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S801 quad-core SoC that is clocked at 2.5 GHz. In terms of camera specs the new model comes with the same 20.7 MP resolution on a 1/2.3 sensor as its predecessor. However, the sensitivity range has now been expanded to ISO 12800. At 25mm, the new G-lens offers a wider equivalent focal length as well. There is also 4K video-recording and a 2.2 MP front camera for video-chats and self-portraits. Like previous Z-series models the Z3 Compact is water- and dust proof (IP65/68).
