I have an a6000 and these are my uses of my kit: -Video: recitals, concerts, club settings -Photography: recitals, concerts, club settings -Head shots -Family portraits -Walk around camera and landscapes, and artistic shots. Plus some macro shooting. I'm questioning if the Zeiss 24-70/2.8 will be a large enough aperture for the low settings of clubs. That's really my main concern. I shot at a jazz club this weekend with a Sony 50/1.8 and had good results but I could have used more of a 35mm...

My first thread/question! I usually just read and read and read until I find an answer, but I have done so many searches and can not find the answer... Where my smart people at? I want to shoot video in continuous autofocus with a zoom at 2.8 aperture, on my sony a7Rii. Is this even possible? Awhile back I mounted a tamron 24-70 2.8 canon mount to an a7s, but was locked at 3.5 aperture for autofocus in video. Has this changed for the a7rii? Will it still lock at f/3.5? What if i use...
Dear DPReview Community, once again I request your aid. You've helped me pick a camera and lenses before, but indeciveness has reared its ugly head again. Over the past week, I've pored over articles, sample shots, videos, etc and I really can't make my mind. I've noticed that I tend to take more portrait shots (with a SEL 35, which I love) than other types, but I also want to continue my quest of travelling once a year to a far-off country. I've got a budget of about $800 for lenses. So it...
Hi there... Is there a list of all the lenses available for full frame E mount cameras (a7) Obviously, there is the Sony range, but are there other lenses yet by Sigma or Tamron? I am looking at purchasing the Samyang 14mm f2.8 MF prime, however, I could really use an f2.8 std zoom... are there any other options apart from the £600 24-70 F4 Zeiss item (I would rather just keep my kit lens than even think about that item!) or the $2000 f2.8 version which I would have to sell a kidey to afford!
Hi everyone! I just bought the Sony A77 body and now I am going crazy to find out what lens or lenses would be best for me. I originally was considering the sony (or sigma) 50mm 1.4, for low light shooting. The SONY 16-50MM 2.8 for video, as I heard it's a good lens and it has some good range for continued auto focus while recording. And then I also wanted some kind of telephoto, but I dont really want a compromise lens...I have about 2,000 to spend. I was also considering just getting a Carl...

I have just recently purchased an A99 with a CZ 24-70. So far the video that I have shot with this thing is INCREDIBLE! However, there are some projects where I will be expected to show up with "cinematic primes" (i.e. CZ CP.2's for example)... Does anyone make any kind of adapter for any of these lenses? Or will that EVER be available? If they put the E mount on the FF VG900, why couldn't they do that on the A99 as well?
