This lens is a great lens to leave on your camera. I travel a lot and I had been using the 18-55 mm and 55-210 mm lens with the Sony NEX-5R. To keep from changing lenses I switched to the 18-200 mm. The image quality is much better than either of those lenses which makes it perfect for travel, as well as sports. I have got this lens now nearly two years and only recently found that at least in the highest zoom position (200 mm), the center is very sharp, but half way from the center to the right hand side of the pictures the details are increasingly blurred. The lens compensation in the NEX 5N is in automatic. I am a bit disappointed about this and think I will complain by Sony.

I've been wanting a zoom lens to go with my NEX-5N and was looking at the SEL55210 when I saw this ad for what turned otut to be a near-mint condition SEL18200 at a bargain price..and couldn't resist. I've had the lens now for a week or so (~300 pics) and can confirm what many reviews of the lens already say - it is quite big and heavy, especially in comparison with the svelte NEX-5N. It took me about 30-40 pics before I settled into a grip which allowed me to zoom in and out (with the ...
