No doubt similar questions have been asked before, but please can I ask about lenses for an A7Rii. I'm looking at the following lenses (not with the plan to buy all of them!): Sony FE Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 55mmF1.8 ZA Sony FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS Sony FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS Sony FE 70-200 F4 G OSS Sony FE 24-70 F2.8 GM What's not to like and what's to like please? I don't have the opportunity to rent before buying. The cost and weight of the 70-200 f2.8 probably puts it out of the...

So I'm new to the Alpha series and I've been doing some reading up on the benefits of in-camera stabilization vs. lens stabilization. It seems the best solution would be to have both available to use. I'm not talking about both working at the same time because I know that wouldn't work since they'd basically cancel each other out but do we have the ability to switch between either depending on the need?  Say for example is the camera firmware programmed in such a way, that when the camera...

Hi I recently upgraded to Sony A77 Mark II after using DynaX 5D for about a decade. I am planning to invest in a new set of lens than the kit lens (18-70 and 75-300 Minolta lens). I have my eyes on 70-200 F2.8 despite being quite expensive as I believe I have matured a bit to invest in a better pair of lens. I learnt that this lens is a full frame one however it could be used on APS-C sensors too. I would like to know from experts here about their experiences with A77 II and 70-200 F/2.8...

LS., I'm looking around for a decent cam with a good lens for sportsphotography. I will mainly shoot road race cyclists and cyclocross. I've done some research and came up with these three sets Canon EOS 7D Mark II + Canon EF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM II (€ 3738,-) Nikon D7100 + Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm F2.8 G IF-ED VR II Nano (€ 2848,-) Sony SLT-A77 II+ Sony 70-200mm F2.8 G SSM II (€ 3998,-) Maybe there are other alternatives? I also have some lenses from an old Sony cam but don't know whether...

So far i do own the Samyang 14mm and Sony 24-70mm lens for my new Sony a7r. Now I am looking at adding another - longer - zoom to my collection and have been looking at the following lenses: 1. SAL 70-200mm G2, f2.8 with Sony adapter 2. Sony FE 70-200mm G, f4 (3. SAL70-400mm, f4-5.6 with Sony adapter) As I like to shoot landscapes as well as fashion, I would be interested to learn if anyone has compared lenses 1 & 2 above on the a7r and how much difference the wider aperture of the A-Mount...
