I own it | I want it | I had it |
Sony's Distagon T* 24mm F2 prime lives up to its Carl Zeiss branding with excellent image quality coupled with superb build and focusing. It's a highly accomplished performer on both full frame and APS-C cameras, even when used wide open. Its sole weakness is poor handling of flare when the sun is in, or just outside the frame, which is most problematic on full frame cameras. Overall though it offers arguably the most compelling blend of price, performance and features in its class.
