Hi, Are there any disadvantages to using a Canon EF f/2.8 24-70 II on a Sony A7RIV or a Sony A9II with an Sigma MC-11 adapter?  Like autofocusing problems or that Eye focus? Thanks, leaderdesslock

Hello, My EF 24-70 II was returned from Canon service where they have done blade assembly replacement. I think that bottom left and bottom right corners are bit off. I suspect that lens is slightly decentered. what do you think (examples below) Attached pictures  focus is at infinity images attached are from center and all 4 corners. Subject distance around 200m, picture taken at 70mm f2,8 up right corner up left corner bottom right corner bottom left corner  center  There is...

Hello everyone. I upgraded from a 6D to a 5D4 and the AF speed of my 24-70 II is noticeably slower on the newer body. What possible reasons could there be for it? And how do I maximize AF speed with the 24-70 II and 5D4 combo? If it helps, I always shoot Single Point AF set to the center point --Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ahnafakeef/Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ahnafakeef/

I cannot afford the sony or canon 24-70 II version and would like to know if some here are actually using this newer tamron lens thru an AF adapter. I haven't seen any youtube videos about this tamron lens on one of sony's newer mirrorless bodies. I might, just maybe, buy the A7III when it arrives and I would like to know what my options are. I simply cannot wait until Nikon comes out with their mirrorless bodies and I am planning on selling all my Nikon gear and buy the A7III with that...

Hi all. About to order my a9, coming from a Canon 5D IV. I want to play with this before my upcoming trip to Venice/the Dolomites. Need some input on what lenses to get (or keep, such as it were). I have two Canon lenses right now: 100-400 II IS, and the 24-70 II. For my a9, I'd like a good 'travel' lens. Whether this is the 24-70 GM, or the older FE 24-240, or the 16-35 f/4 (or even GM), I don't know. What would you suggest for travel on the a9? For my son's sports, I will eventually get the...

I've have the A7R2 for a while now, but haven't used Steady Shot, as I always use a tripod. But, I'll take a take some hand held shots soon. A few Qs Does it work if I'm using a Metabones IV T and Canon 24-70 II f2.8 or do I need a native lens? Do I need to set the adapter to Advanced mode to use Steady Shot? If I use back button focusing, do I need to need to keep the focusing button pressed, whilst I press the shutter or should I only need to press the shutter part way down to engage ...

Hi! Can anyone who actually uses the new Canon 35mm f/1.4L II tell me if it focuses as fast as the 24-70 II or the 70-200mm f/2.8L II? By the way, I own the 35mm f/2 IS, and I am pretty impressed with its overall performance. It is a bit slower when it comes to focusing than the 24-70 II for example. Compared to the 85mm f/1.8 the 35mm f/2 IS focuses about twice as fast, though.  Does anyone have any experience with the focusing speed of the new 35mm f/1.4L II compared to the two L-zooms I...

G'day Everyone, It was time, I couldn't put it off any longer... My girlfriend had been waiting months for me to photograph all her products so she could finally launch her ecommerce website. I ordered a 90cm tent, three lights, two light stands and a boom light stand.   Here is a picture of what I got.  Today I cracked it open and attempted to photograph her candles. They are black with white writing so I chose a white background (piece of a3 paper). I setup the two lights at either side...
