Product description
Announced Jan 6, 2011

One of a range of very similar W series compacts announced in 2011, the DSC-W530 is a basic but nicely put together 14.1 megapixel metal-bodied camera with a useful 26-104mm equiv. zoom and 2.7" screen. For an entry level compact you can get image stabilization, a Sweep Panorama mode and in-camera editing features. Although you would miss out in standard HD video recording which have become very common even in entry-level cameras today, you can still shoot VGA videos. With both Intelligent Auto and Easy Shooting modes the camera can be an ideal option for users who want to buy or gift a simple point-and-shoot camera.
