Does anyone have real life experiences with shooting tethered (wired) and wireless with the a7rii?  On wired, does it work with LR? Or do you have to use the Sony app? Can you set it to shoot in RAW but only send the jpegs to the computer? On wireless, I read that there is a sony app you can put in your tablet/smartphone to transfer the images (my rx1r have this ability). But it's clear that the app is designed to transfer images after your shooting is done, not send while shooting. I'm...

Hello. Sorry about the fragmentary title, pressed the enter button accidentally. anyway, can anyone recommend a 49m filter to fit, that the JJC lens hood will fit over. I'm using a B & W filter, but it's mount is slightly too thick for the hood to fit over. Thank you

I am a keen amateur using an RX100 V3, mostly tourist / street photography. Would I see significant advantages trading up to the RX1r R11? Has anyone out there made the jump and seen a big difference? Thanks in anticipation...

Can't find any info regarding  AF speed difference between the two models. Seems  the only thing changed is the sensor/AA glass removal on the RX1r. ... is there any body here who has hands on experience with both cameras? Thanks so much ! ________________________________________________________... so maybe I should call myself Question Mark Eberts

After months of "deliberation". I finally bought myself a RX1r2, and one of the first things I noticed that is that the EVF is a bit "grainy" in low light. So, I re-read DP Review's 2/15/16 product review of the RX1r2 and, sure enough, it indicated that the "EVF's high quality 120fps mode" is disabled by default in order to help preserve battery life.  But, since I'm less concerned about battery life than I am about EVF quality (particularly in low light), I'd like to enable the high quality...

Hey Folks, I am shopping for an OVF for my RX1R and need some opinions from those of you with experience with this type of finder on your RX1. What OVFs in addition to the costly Sony unit will work? I am considering the Voigtlander 35mm, but am concerned that it sits too low in the hotshoe and the view will be partially obstructed by the lens (which extends almost to the top of the camera deck). Likewise, Voigtlander's now discontinued Mini 28/35 sits even lower, but it is really small and...

Hi everyone, I posted in the Sony FF forums a couple of weeks ago asking if anyone knows why RX1RII is able to produce 14-bit uncompressed raw files in continuous-shutter mode but A7RII can't. The always helpful JimKasson has volunteered to help verify if RX1RII can indeed produce 14bit uncompressed RAW files when in continuous mode, but no one has stepped forward yet to send test files yet, so I thought perhaps a post in this forum for the Cybershot series owners would be more effective. If...

Reading to review I was frustrated buy dramatic lack of sharpness on IQ test chart. Even compare with LPF-enabled cameras with smaller resolution. But I didn't find any evidence of this problem in text of the review, in discussions or in other reviews. So is it test sample picture issue ore some problem with lens/variable filter?

I still find the GX8 a bit of hit and miss when it comes to colour. I only shoot RAW, NEVER-EVER anything jpg and had started using custom white balance on the GX8 with a grey card, but am often way too lazy to constantly measure. Now there are a few ancient rumours around regarding RAW, that you don't have to check WB in RAW as you can do everything afterwards. If that is the case, I can't see why the custom WB pictures look so much better than the pics taken with auto WB (I do understand...
