Can anyone provide any insight on the importing of video files into Lightroom CC that are recorded from the RX100m6? The video files from the RX100m4 always have the wrong timestamp and the filename always begins with a totally different format than the filenames of the images (i.e. C0001.mp4 versus _DSC0001.ARW). Whenever I delete the video files from the folder in the SD card, it just starts naming the video files from 0001 again, rather than continuing from the last recorded filename. So,...

Hi, I need to setup a portable video recording solution for documenting lectures and power point video podcast. Audio, video and lighting will be crucial. The lectures will be 1 hour long. Things I have:VideoLogitech c615Sony rx 100 mk iv. I think this one more likely since I don't need to connect it to a pc, the screen can flip 180 degrees. Audio,Planning to get an external mic and mount it to my Samsung note 3 or galaxy S2 phone. I no longer use this phone so I thought this would be...

So my Sony RX100 IV died recently as a result of getting a little bit wet when shooting photos on holiday. I really enjoyed using this camera mainly because of how much it offered despite its small form factor. However, limited zoom range and inability to obtain strongly blurred background were the limitations that I was noticing the most. It was good to be able to have it near me most of the time but on the other hand sometimes I didn't see a point of using it instead of my Google Pixel...

I am having a problem getting the view finder to work.  When I put my eye to the view finder the display goes dark but I see nothing through the view finder. Has this happened to anyone else?  If so how do I solve that problem? Second issue:  Keep getting an E91:01 code flashing.  I have tried doing a reset but it isn't working.  Unable to use the flash because of this error. Thanks

On the other thread I posted , I got a lot information about the GH4 that makes me want to move up the ladder a bit. Let me clarify that I am NOT a pro, but just a serious hobbyist who loves to learn and play with something up to date but not necessary the newest. Money is also a factor because I am retired and want to see my dollars stretched a long way. I am currently using a Sony RX100M4 for most of my videos in 4K. For close-up, telephoto shots, time-lapse and changing DOF focus effects,...

Hello! So I shoot Sony professionally and have an RX100 V for just travelling, BTS shots, etc.I wanted to get another body for doing more videos for my youtube channel. Since the RX100 V cannot record more than 5 minutes in 4k before overheating, it is not ideal for what I need. So, I was going to get the A6300 but then I saw this great price on the GX85 with two lenses and found one rated at 10 for $100 less than the current deal so I just jumped on it before someone else took it but now...

Hi So I've been using RX100 M4 for a year now. If the subject is set up by myself the slow motion shot is awesome but when I am out and want to record slow motion from say animals, the subject  most of the time is out of focus. I missed a lot of good opportunities. For example a few months ago we've been in Tasmania and this beautiful white eagle dived to pick a fish the cruise owner threw it on the water and even though I was pointing to the same location, later on I realised everything is...

The manual focus implementation on canon powershot cameras is the clunkiest thing I've ever used. When turning the ring at a normal speed, I have to turn the front ring ~20 times to get from closest focus to infinity. If I make really fast erratic turns I can get through the range in fewer turns, but then I lose all precision. This is on my new G1X III, but I experienced the same thing on a G7x II and G9x II. There are other compact camera manufacturers that have, in my opinion, implemented...

I recently sold my RX100 IV and ordered the upcoming VI. I ran across this image on smallrig.com and wondered what was the Rode device being used and how it worked. I looked on rode.com and cant figure it out. Is there a way to wirelessly capture better audio with the RX100 series of cameras? Do you know what Rode device that is? Thanks!
