Are there any appreciable differences between the RX100 II and the RX100V? With each new release of my favorite point and shoot, I feel I should be upgrading but I continue to get great photos with the RX100 II. While it's not a huge difference, I also like the added telephoto range that I get with my older camera - it's useful when traveling. Would it make more sense to wait and see what an RX100 VI would bring?
Hi, I understand that RX100 Mark 2 can use Sony's multi-interface shoe flash guns. I have three questions regarding this: 1. Does Mk2 support older units (I have an HVL-F58AM) with ADP-MAA hot shoe adapter? 2. Using a compatible flash gun, can you use wireless flash with off-camera flash units? 3. Can you use the built-in flash in wireless control mode?3a, This applies to other versions as well, not just Mk2. I'm on the fence about getting one and while low light performance is important, I'd...
Hi First, I am a total noob, but trying to learn. Second, I just bought a second-hand RX100m2, which I am trying to get the best out of. Before I have only shot videos with my smartphone, an Xiaomi Mi Mix. I took some sample videos with the Sony, and transfered the file to my phone. Found out it had to be mp4 to be able to transfer. When I view videos taken by the Sony on my phone, everything is stretched. Would someone be kind and tell me why it is like this. I watched some...
Dear photographers. I am currently looking for a compact camera for general use and capable of shooting 'extreme' slow motion (500+ fps). I guess I would be right to end up at the Sony RX100 series. Now, I know there have been 5 versions/upgrades (Mk1-5) in this series, but I find it hard to figure out the slow-mo specs and image quality of each camera and which model would be a decent and affordable pick. Going for the latest version (Mk5) would be the best option of course, but I guess an...

My current RX100 ii is playing up and I think it's time to look at a new camera, I do have an interest in photography and my current camera has served me well as a point and shoot compact. I now have had a look into a couple of cameras which are similar and one which will aid in expanding my interest in photography, as I'm a beginner I would like to draw on your knowledge to help form an opinion as to the best direction. The cameras I have been looking at are; RX100 V - I'm familiar with...

Is there something that I can make, or a technique that can help me achieve 1:1 macro or greater using my Sony RX100 II? I know that there's a Raynox but that seems expensive. I tried using an old Zenit lens but I thought that the setup would be too impractical. - -https://www.flickr.com/photos/31391486@N04/
