Is it possible to change the AE bracket functions so that I can automatically capture 3 images, at more than 0.7 EV away from the normal photo? For example, I know how to do exposure bracketing, but now the dark image will only be -0.7 ev and the bright=0.7 ev. Is there a way to expand this range, so that the dark and bright images can be at least 1 ev away from the 0 ev? I find it disappointing.  --https://www.flickr.com/photos/31391486@N04/

The display on my sony rx100 ii isn't working after I forgot it near an open window when it was raining. I don't think it got wet/drenched, but the humidity has clearly done something. I can turn the camera on and even take pictures, but nothing shows up on the LCD display. It is just black, as if it's not connected.  I thought resetting it would be a good first step, but I'm unable to do this through the menu settings, as, obviously, I can't see what I'm clicking. I have PlayMemories on my...

I'm looking to get my first birding camera. This setup will be for smaller birds (passerines etc.) as I digiscope with my RX100M2. That works well for shorebirds and waterfowl.  After considering all options under the sun, this is what I've come to based on a number of factors. I feel these two setups have the best combination of weight, IQ, and price for me.  In your opinion, which is the better option? A6300 + 70-300, or RX10IV. A6300 + 70-300 concerns: Reach, and switching lenses when I...

I'm looking for a camera that is good for IR under $1,000. So far, some choices that I thought of are the Sony A7, as well as Panasonic GX85. I tried to do IR with my Sony RX100 II, but seems to be extremely difficult because it can't see much IR. Sony A7 would be my choice for normal photography, but for IR I have no idea what camera to get. Then what lens should I get?  --https://www.flickr.com/photos/31391486@N04/

Hello, i own the RX100M2 and was curious to know wether they get more silent after each batch/year : does the RX100M3 fan/motor make less noise than the RX100M2? This only matter while recording video (needless to say tho).

I have been thinking about mounting a microscope eyepiece to my point and shoot camera for deep macro! I have tried basically taping it and it worked a little, but once you moved the camera, it would probably fall off. I want something that's not so permanent so that I can take it off for regular photography but so that it can be mounted for the time being. Any ideas? It's not the best idea but relatively cheap (there is vignetting unless zoomed in a lot). I wanted to have something portable...

Could someone recommend one, I'd prefer to have the bulb, continuous, and intervalometer modes. I already have one but it stopped working. I asked around about how to fix it, but practically no solution has been posted. About how much do I have to spend? --https://www.flickr.com/photos/31391486@N04/

Are there any appreciable differences between the RX100 II and the RX100V? With each new release of my favorite point and shoot, I feel I should be upgrading but I continue to get great photos with the RX100 II. While it's not a huge difference, I also like the added telephoto range that I get with my older camera - it's useful when traveling. Would it make more sense to wait and see what an RX100 VI would bring?

Hi, I understand that RX100 Mark 2 can use Sony's multi-interface shoe flash guns. I have three questions regarding this: 1. Does Mk2 support older units (I have an HVL-F58AM) with ADP-MAA hot shoe adapter? 2. Using a compatible flash gun, can you use wireless flash with off-camera flash units? 3. Can you use the built-in flash in wireless control mode?3a, This applies to other versions as well, not just Mk2. I'm on the fence about getting one and while low light performance is important, I'd...

Hi  First, I am a total noob, but trying to learn. Second, I just bought a second-hand RX100m2, which I am trying to get the best out of. Before I have only shot videos with my smartphone, an Xiaomi Mi Mix. I took some sample videos with the Sony, and transfered the file to my phone. Found out it had to be mp4 to be able to transfer.  When I view videos taken by the Sony on my phone, everything is stretched.  Would someone be kind and tell me why it is like this. I watched some...
