Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2

6 megapixels | 2 screen | 36 – 432 mm (12×)

Great value for money. The H2 is a very capable camera in it's class. It's on par with the Canon S3 IS, but less expensive, slightly better image quality, and uses only 2 NiMh's, instead of the S3's 4. And they come within the package. Very clean images up to ISO400, that's what I like. Even @ ISO800, you can take good looking photos, it's really amazing what today's little sensors are capable of. I'm a happy H2 user for about 7 months now. Yeah! Highly Recommended. Problems: It's a little ...

I've been reading all available reviews before buying my H2 and was really happy to get it at last. It really satisfied my needs as used to have Samsung camera before with almost no functions at all. This camera is fantastic in almost all conditions I was so far and the picture quality is excellent. Recently I bought 4 gb memory stick and enjoy taking 6 mp pictures with no fear of getting stuck somewhere. I really enjoy it and think that there's still more for me to learn about its features. ...

This is my first venture into digital photography after 30 years of working with a 35mm SLR. This replaced a Pentax K1000. The first thing that struck me was how easy this was to use. I spent my first day taking photos of my LP covers for use in transferring my out-of-print LPs to CD format. Now I'm wondering why I didn't make the plunge into digital photography sooner. While I miss the full manual control of an SLR, this yields excellent results and is a great intermediate step between ...

We bought this camera a few months ago, and took it on a ten week honeymoon to Ireland, Alaska and Costa Rica- testing it in all possible conditions. It's a survivor- survived cold, heat, humidity, water and much more. However, the print quickly came off the buttons… Zoom & Focus: Great zoom, does a good job even at the end of the zoom, except when the contrast is really low or the light is dim. Great auto-focus, good stabilizer. Doesn’t work as well when using the burst mode. Convenient ...

Seems to be a great camera for the money. I've only had it a week now but I'm very happy with the quality of the pictures and the zoom capability. I was able to take 80 pictures with 2AA batteries before they died. Most were without the flash though. I am very happy non the less. And this is without reading the manual at all. I don't think I could have found the 12x zoom (which is awsome) and the great picture quality for less money. I paid $300 from B&H and it arrived in 2 days. I ...

The camera feels solid in your hand, and takes very nice photos at 3M and 6M settings. The LCD is clear as is the digital viewfinder (takes a bit of getting used to after having a real viewfinder for so long). The 12x optical zoom is fantastic and is a big bonus for a camera in this price range. The video is fair quality even on "fine", but being able to use the zoom in video is a very nice feature. I compared a lot of cameras to this one and for the money I think I made the right ...

Having read dpreview's review of this model (Somy DSC-H2) and competing within-class models, I ultimately opted to purchase the H2. dpreview's own tests being the deciding factor; I nearly opted for the competition because of rumors plaguing Sony's quality credibility right now. While the construction feels light, especially when lens attachments are added resulting in a lopsided feel, this camera really takes spectacular pictures. And, indeed, the 58mm lens attachment saves me a truckload ...

I have been using this camera for about 3 weeks, and I really did my homework with this camera. It was good value for money. However, if you're looking for a camera, I suggest getting the upgrade to the dsc-h5 (although the reviews say its not worth it). The camera I think handles very well as a point and shoot and the quality is excellent for a regular 35 mm print. I think the overall use of the camera is very easy to use. The manual settings are fantastic, and I have had great shots ...
