Standard is to calibrate for the lowest aperture-value (ie 1.4) but I get very different required corrections for different f-stops. F/1.4 at shortest focusdistance, 85 cm, will give an extremely short DoF so I dont think I will use any wider than f2. Should I calibrate for f2? Is it normal to get different correctionsvalues for f-stops that close? Why is it standard procedure to calibrate att widest aperture? Anyone....

Hi everyone, first-time poster here. I normally never use forums but I'm at a complete loss here. About a week ago at a photoshoot I noticed that every second photo was coming out much darker than the previous. Being primarily an equestrian photographer, I almost always shoot in Continous High to accommodate horses constantly moving in order to attain the correct pose. Hello everyone, Hope you are all well. I want to get a prime lens for shooting portraits. I currently have the 85mm 1.8G as mid-tele prime and I want to replace it with either the Nikon 105mm f/1.4E or the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 Art. It'll still be another month or so before I buy so I just want to know what other photographers are preferring and their reason for it. I'll use it for portraiture. Please share your thoughts. I have used Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art briefly and it was great. I am also...
