Standard is to calibrate for the lowest aperture-value (ie 1.4) but I get very different required corrections for different f-stops. F/1.4 at shortest focusdistance, 85 cm, will give an extremely short DoF so I dont think I will use any wider than f2. Should I calibrate for f2? Is it normal to get different correctionsvalues for f-stops that close? Why is it standard procedure to calibrate att widest aperture? Anyone....
Hi everyone, first-time poster here. I normally never use forums but I'm at a complete loss here. About a week ago at a photoshoot I noticed that every second photo was coming out much darker than the previous. Being primarily an equestrian photographer, I almost always shoot in Continous High to accommodate horses constantly moving in order to attain the correct pose. Hello everyone, Hope you are all well and having a great day. I want to choose a portrait lens for my SD Quattro and was thinking between 85mm F1.4 and 50-100mm F1.8 lens. They both work well with SDQH too if I upgrade in future. If a SDQ FF comes in then 50-100mm is not going to work fully. I'm just confused as which one to go for. Single FL of 85mm doesn't bother me as I'm used to shooting portrait at the range, but 50-100mm certainly has it's benefits. OTOH, 85mm F1.4 I believe will be a...
