This lens is not the best telephoto zoom I've ever used, but it's pretty good. It has imperceptible distortion and chromatic aberration. It is not the highest contrast lens, but sometimes I think contrast is overrated. I haven's shot this lens into the sun, so I don't know how much flare there is. I have seen some flare though, and I think that's because I don't have a lens hood for this lens. A suitable lens for portrait and wild life photography, good zooming. Problems: its weight, and size, some times barrel stuck after releasing macro switch.
