Hello, this is my first post into this forum and I am a complete beginner, please excuse me If I say some nonsense. My grandfather was fond of photography. For several years he spent the weekends taking photos, editing them and showing them to us. As he was getting old his activity on photography decreased and last year he passed away. He gave to me his photographic equipment. I have always had some curiosity on this world and since I studied physics I studied some of the basic principles of...

Hello Everyone, I am thinking about buying a Canon M6 Mark II with the EF-EOS M adapter. I am planning to buy the following lenses with it: Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Sigma 70-200mm f / 2.8 EX DG II HSM Macro Could someone please tell me whether these lenses are fully compatible with this setup, especially in terms of autofocus? I would also like to know whether any firmware update is needed to improve compatibility. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you very much, Fahmin

Hi, I have a «Sigma AF 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM APO macro» lens that I have used with my Nikon D5100. I'm planning on buying a Nikon Z50. Would that Sigma lens work with the Z50 when using the FTZ Adapter? I'm really bad at the details and lens compatibility. Haven't touched the D5100 for years, but now really want to "restart" my hobby with the Z50. Thanks for your replies!
Hi, Friends I have bought a used Sigma 150mm 2.8 and it arrived well packed not wear and tear and when it attached the lens to my Nikon d600 it is not working. No Auto focus no Manual focus. the focal length indicator is not moving and it seems to me as if lens is not connected or dead.... but when i press the shutter button i can hear the sound of motor moving inside but Focal length displaying no change.. It is a prime lens and the elements are moving back and front to focus and it seems...
I used the canon 85mm f1.8 and the tamron 85mm f1.8 VC. Both are good lenses, but I prefer the Tamron because of the less CA, beautiful bokeh, and VC. Because I sold the tamron 85mm, I'm considering to buy the tamron again or the canon 100mm f2.0. Which has better image quality and bokeh, and color? How do you feel about this? I know it's subjective question. Generally, I prefer the canon lenses for the AF compatibility and color rendering.
Dear Sigma Users, Does someone of you is using older sigma lenses on the Sony E mount cameras? (i search and read everything about this on forum) I have two great and beloved lenses such 50 1.4 EX, 70-200 EX HSM with SA mount, still in perfect condition, and quite good 17-70. On the SD14 the AF works like it works. We all know AF was not a strong side of this camera. Just curious that is this lenses could be worked fine (or just acceptable? maybe with similiar fast like on SD14?) on Sony E...

A similar thread must have possibly been started before but I thought I might as well start one of my own. After 3 years, I finally got my hands on a D7100. I've been shooting with the D80 and the stock lens for a while but I got a fairly good deal for a D7100(5k shutter count for CAD650) I couldn't say no. Nyhoo, I got myself a Nikon 50mm 1.8D and now I am looking to add some quality glass to my collection. I was perusing the local camera shops used section when I found a used Sigma 70-200...
Anyone here using the II version of Sigma's 70-200mm F/2.8 with a teleconverter? Just wondering about compatibility between brands (Sigma, Kenko, Tamron, Nikon, etc.), sharpness with 1.4x and 2.0x, and AF speed. I'm using it on a D750, so there shouldn't be much of an issue with locking onto a subject.
