I have the a6500 and I have been using the 35mm 1.8 for a little bit now. I also just got the a Zhiyun Crane. I am mainly focused on video, although I do take photos quite frequently mainly for instagram and my school's yearbook. I have gotten some great results with my sony lens but I can't help but feel like the sigma is better in almost every way. The lack of oss isn't an issue for me anymore since I have a gimbal. I am still concerned about it not having good enough focusing or being too...
Hey guys, I have the a6500 and I recently bought the sony 35mm 1.8 for it but I am thinking about returning it for the 30mm 1.4. This is mainly because I don't like how small the lens is and I wish it was a bit wider sometimes. The only things holding me back from doing this right now is that I have heard that the sigma 30mm 1.4 has much worse autofocus and it is too loud for video. Is the autofocus of the sigma bad and would I miss the snappy fast autofocus of the sony? Is the focusing too...

I have an a6500 and I recently got the sony 35mm 1.8 on amazon. It is a nice lens and I don't really have any big complaints about it but I can't help but feel like I should have gotten the sigma 30mm 1.4 instead. It is sharper, has a wider aperture, is a bit wider, and while I do like how light the 35mm is I like that the sigma looks a bit bigger and more robust and I feel like it would be easier to hold than the small sony 35mm. I have had the lens for a couple of weeks and although I have...
So I am completely new to using cameras in general. recently i bought the sigma 30mm lens on the a6500 and i wondered since the sigma is not a sony (but it is e mount dunno if this makes a difference). do i have to manually set the focal length in order to use the steadyshot function on the a6500. i noticed my footage is more jittery than others when using.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if any of you have experience with using the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for video purposes on a motorized gimbal (i.e. Zhiyun Crane 2) I am also wondering if the OSS of the Sony 35mm f/1.8 OSS makes a huge difference for stabilization vs. the Sigma that does not have it. Can any shakiness from either lens be easily fixed in post? I am debating whether or not to buy the Sony vs the Sigma for Sony a6300 based on: Sony focuses faster and more accurately (Can someone...

Hello guys. I want to buy a6300 and ZC v2, also I want to buy mc-11 with 18-35 art, but ZC v2 cant handle it because of huge overweight in the front. Does it worth to refuse 18-35 and buy, for example, Sony 16mm f2.8 plus Sigma 30mm Contemporary? Its important for me good and fast autofocus, quite wide angle for stabilizer. Can you please help me with it.

Hey everybody, as my adventure with my Sony a6300 and the kit lens continues; I have come to the decision that I am a sucker for sharp Images. Even on Instagram I see some images so sharp that I feel bad about my shots. Here is a sample gallery I created, showing some sharp Images I took and some unsatisfactory ones: Flickr Album Here are some accounts that I like in terms of sharpness: Ruth Tam | I believe she is only using an iphone 7 Ted Gushue of Petrolicious / uses Leica Gear Dennis...
Hi, I purchased Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC DN C for my A6000 a few weeks ago and realized something is up when I take multiple shots. It appears that when I shoot continously, it has 2 to 3 slightly different exposures on each shot. Even though nothing moves - not the camera, subject, lighting, everything is same, except the exposures. I tried with different mode, different aperture settings, different shutter speed, ISO, AWB, drive mode, focus mode, even metering, still the same results - few...
