I just bought the Sigma 18-50 (2.8/4.5) [https://www.sigmaphoto.com/18-50mm-f28-45-dc-os-hsm] to use it with my good ol’ trusty Pentax K10D. Both the lens and body are stabilized, so te question es: should I turn off the IS on the body and rely on the system built into the lens or the other way around? Thanks!
Is the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM fully compatible with the Pentax K10D? According to the Sigma support website It works just fine, but they tell you that "Please update the firmware of the camera to the newest version before using this product". The thing is, I found a few blogs and forums where users say the lens doesn't get along all that well with the K10D. I have a few primes, but I want a "carry everywhere-all purpose lens" that's actually a little better than the kit the K10D...
Hi, I'm looking to put down the EF-S 18-55mm soon. The IQ, focal range, focus, and maximum aperture isn't working for me. It's not bad though, from 18mm to 55mm. It's just the aperture, most of all. I'm looking for a cheap lens upgrade (sorry no L glass like the 24-105, 24-70, 17-40. I would buy it, but I'm looking for something cheap for now!). Looking for a good walkaround lens, that gives me landscape and standard telephoto portraiture/low light photos. I'm really looking for: 1....
