Sigma have had an 18-200mm DC lens in the lineup for years - the original was a tiny lens with a 62mm front end which offered amazing contrast and colour but suffered "Sigma disease" (Sample variated Decentering) worse than many so getting a good one could be difficult - what it had (when a good one was located) was better across the frame sharpness than any of the OS versions including the last 18-250 macro model , it also was a nice compact size.
