My sample was the second one from the shop, the first was quite a bit decentred, this one seems to be as good as it gets: top sharpness centre and right, a bit less on the outer left part of the picture. This is only visible while pixel peeping, for screen and A3 prints this lens works brilliantly. Good colours, as wide as it gets, easily corrected in software. Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 II DG HSM
I JUST rec'd this baby in the mail from B&H. I shoot a ton of interiors for editorial & some commercial assignment work & I was really excited to hear that Sigma had made a successor to the original 12-24. I did some quick side by side testing in my home & this is what I found: The new one is overall slightly better in terms of overall sharpness (just a hair) and overall distortion.
