Hi Kalpanika developers, and Kalpanika users I would love to have the opportunity to experiment with the Kalpanika x3f raw file converter to DNG. I have read all that I can ("can" is the key word here...) on DPReview regarding this complicated issue, and I have learned a lot and has raised a lot of questions. My goal: I am trying to come up with an optimal workflow for processing photographs I take with my Sigma DP2M and DP3M cameras, with the end goal being the print. I create jpegs from...
For those who use DXO Optics Pro 11 (Elite) as a plugin with Lightroom 6 (I do not have DXO optics Pro 11 yet) Do you import raw files into Lightroom, and after that export them to DXO? In that case: what work do you do on those raw files inside Lightroom, before exporting? Or just the other way around (importing into DXO and then exporting to Ligtroom)? Can you tell me why you choose for this workflow? If going from Lightroom to DXO (or first DXO and then Lightroom): how do you export...
Being new to this forum, i would like to say greetings first. I've shot several sigma cameras during the past years, including sigma dp1m, dp3m, dp2x, mostly in monochrome and have always been astounded by the advantage they give over conventional Bayer pattern cameras. However. For the past several months i got hooked on film and now i rarely touch my digitals... My usual workflow is as follows - BW film -> Fuji X-E1 w/ macro -> dcraw linear 16 bit TIFF -> inverted in Silverfast Negafix or...

Title basically says it all, but the general gist of my question is, whether I'd benefit more from getting a fast 50mm lens or a 70-200mm/f4 for traveling through different countries. I like to shoot a bit of everything, my last trips I only brought my Ricoh GR and sometimes also a Sigma DP3M, but now that I bought a nice big FF DSLR I want to invest in lenses as well. Ultimately I'll end up with both, I am sure, but I wonder if I should start with a normal prime or a decent zoom. My flickr,...

So, I finally bit the bullet and bought a DP3M, I wouldn't have bothered but it's surely one of/the last brand new M for sale in the UK. Oh and several photographers on here have shown me that the "signature" Merrill look isn't compulsory -- naturally I blame them for this unexpected expense! Shooting 100% landscapes but always climbing/scrambling to summits, I can't carry a tripod; I often have to drag my bags up chimneys and through tortuous gaps. But given the DP3's focal length... I'm...
Greetings, Pentaxians- I got a Pentax K-70 because I wanted to try the pixel-shift technology without spending a fortune on a FF camera and lenses. It came this afternoon (I spent the morning reading the manual), and there are a few things I can't figure out. Noise Reduction. I shoot raw, and convert to tiff using the supplied Digital Camera Utility 5. When I lift the shadows, it's obvious that there is some heavy NR going on somewhere. How can I turn that off? 300% image crops -Left image -...

Hi I have a Nikon D5300 which I use for street photography. I would also like to do some very ART style city scapes / streetscapes in an art print fashion. I have read about and seen examples of the Foveon sensors amazing almost med / large format 3-d like picture quality, tonal gradations and colour rendition etc and am quite excited that the SD1 Merrill paired with my Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM lens might be an affordable option for me to get that medium format look - at low ISO and in...
