Is there any way for me to get a copy of this old version of the Sigma software? I just bought an original DP2 and the owner advises me that he finds this version to work better for those files than the current 6.x versions. I asked Sigmaphoto and they have only the current version to offer.
Hello all Interested in getting back to some basics with something older and thinking about at DP2 original. What's the most I should pay for a good copy at this point? Also - would anyone recommend bucking up for perhaps a Merrill instead? I want something smaller and older that's a good value for the picture quality. (Q's are out for sure)

When Luminar 2018 was announced here at DPR a person from Macpun support called "Huttenfreak" confirmed that Luminar 2018 would support Sigma raw files. Therefore I decided to preorder Luminar 2018. I have just downloaded it, but it does not support Sigma raw files! It can't see X3F files from the original DP2 and SD Quattro. And DNG files from SD Quattro looks like the attached image. The only way to edit Sigma files in Luminar 2018 is to export them from Lightroom. Has anyone experienced...
After having enjoyed my DP2S, I craved for more resolution but had had a bad experience with DP2 Merrill, so I am put off purchasing anything newer. My issues mainly evolved around two topics - 1. SPP quirks with colorspace settings and color transforms. 2. Seeming lack of IR filtering on DP2 Merill. Thus the question - do you notice the same? Is DP2M missing an IR filter? I mean all people shot in shadow light show incredible and unwanted skin [sub-]structure details (pores, veins, skin...
I have an original DP1 and DP2. Their serial numbers are 10039xx and 10072xx respectively. Are Sigma serial numbers sequential for each camera model? If that is so, does this mean my DP1 was number 39xx off the DP1 assembly line? The low number make sense, as I bought my DP1 pretty early on, and it was one of the first batch that came to Australia. --Archiver - Loving Every Image Captured Alwayshttp://www.flickr.com/photos/archiver/
I am new to the Foveon sensor and I have acquire DP0, DP2 and recently SD Quattro... The new SFD function sound very nice but so far I don't see much difference in Image quality. I wonder what does this SFD means and what does those 7 shots do? Increase details in pixel or dynamic range or? Would appreciate your help... --Kim

Hi all, after comparing the DP Quattro using the Image comparison tool i was blown away seeing how much the DP is ahead of Nikons D800, Fujis X100T and even Leicas Q regarding Resolution and Details in Low ISO´s. I also know of the limitations the DP does have but am willing to bite the bullet. Now it´s concerning the lens selection. Is the DP2 a good compromise as middle of the pack in focal length ? I somehow tend not to go to the extremes of focal length as i want to use the cam...
