Being new to this forum, i would like to say greetings first. I've shot several sigma cameras during the past years, including sigma dp1m, dp3m, dp2x, mostly in monochrome and have always been astounded by the advantage they give over conventional Bayer pattern cameras. However.  For the past several months i got hooked on film and now i rarely touch my digitals... My usual workflow is as follows - BW film -> Fuji X-E1 w/ macro -> dcraw linear 16 bit TIFF -> inverted in Silverfast Negafix or...

I need to store my DP Merrills for a few months. Will the settings be cleared if I remove the batteries, or will it still be there even though there is no battery in the camera?

Please bear with me on a short journey… A few years ago I had a decision to make: Sigma DP 1 Merrill or Ricoh GR. I loved the look of the Merrill but pushed the button on the Ricoh GR for practicality. I have never regretted my decision as the Ricoh GR is awesome! However… It seems to be something special about the Fovean sensor, especially the early Merrill series and have bought a DP 1 Merrill. Can any experienced Dp1 users please point me in the right direction regarding best software to...

I've been shooting with a new Sigma DP2M and I've got an unusual problem: whenever I power down and power back up, the camera returns into a setting which I gave it some time ago (B+W, 400ASA, etc.), different from the current setting when it was powered off.  In other words, it forgets my current settings and goes back to this other setting. Unfortunately, this appears to be a new behavior, not the way it was working when I first got it. I've been shooting with the Merrill cameras for a...

I bought a DP2 Merrill last week.  I've always been intrigued by this camera since it was launched, but couldn't justify full price given the drawbacks of the camera.  However, given the low price of the DP2M now, curiosity got the better of me and I bought one. Wow! I'm still learning this camera, but the more I use it, the more I like it. I'd now like to get a DP3M, and possibly a DP1M as well.  Does anybody know of any camera stores that still has new stock of these?  UK or EU to avoid...

I recently purchased a DP2M.  The image quality is impressive.  As a result, I thinking of getting the DP1M and DP3M and using them for all my photography.  Is anyone using these three cameras exclusively?  If so, what has been your experience?

I've had a DP3 Merrill for a time now but I really can't get along without a wider focal length. The DP3 Merrill is the only camera I have - a great camera for what it does.  But for my type of photography it's like trying to walk with one leg.  Anyway, I would like to buy a DP1 Merrill as I have about $500 extra cash to spend.  I'd like the DP0 Quatro but that's too expensive right now and the DP1 Merrill is a more all around focal length which would give me a wide angle option.  Anyone know...

Hi, I have already asked Sigma in Australia, but never get a response from them. I'd like to know if it's possible to just purchase the dummy battery (DC Connector CN-11) withouth the power adaptor (SAC-5), and if so, where please? It would be handy on a longer trip to connect it to a USB power bank - via a StarTech cable USB2TypeH 5V DC power - and save the 'precious' regular battery power wherever possible. Don't have a need to use the SAC-5 indoors at all, so am wondering if someone knows...
