I purchased this lens for my A6400 because I wanted to experiment with a longer focal length and thin depth of field, but wasn't sure it would get enough use to justify the Sigma 56mm. The lens is made of metal, feels solid and the control rings turn smoothly (aperture has no clicks). It's easy to use once you set up a zoom button during focus peaking, but i don't think i could ever get something close that's moving in focus. Focus and aperture controls are nice and smooth.  The lens is decently sharp in the center wide open and quite sharp across the frame by f/4.  Bokeh looks nice and wide open, the image is a bit on "dreamy" side, so it will make for interesting portraits.  It does show some spherical aberration, so edge focus is in a different plane than center focus when wide open, but pretty well cleared up by f/4.  The only real complaint is that the filter threads are 49mm x .5mm rather than by .75mm, so ...

This lens has better build than i thought it would be, feel right in hand. The aperture ring is placed in front of the lens is little awakening but smooth and not easy to move or get loose. Good sharpness, good bokeh, contrast is ok, can get close-up shot better than classic 85mm on full frame for only 35cm !!! of course, weak against bright light, can't ask more for just 90usd lens, I am very satisfied with it :D Sample images without exif, sorry i just copy from my facebook messenger to ...
