It was a shocking experience when I was experimenting with the AX700 in a camera store, that these cameras don't have touch menu operability, unlike the older AX100 or AX53, AX33 or even going back to NX30. Why on Earth Sony has decided to drop touch menus on the newer video cameras, when they had quite decent touch menu operations on the AX100/AX53 for example? The only explanation that comes to mind is that the AX700 has a joystick, and possibly Sony decided that touch menus are not needed...

As far as I can se in fine shape, demo looking as good as new. Everything in the box. A store I trust. Have not found something like this on the net. Depends on how much I need EVF, not much problems with the NX500, do not miss the full tilt much. Maybe there will be more around for a lower price. Only "problem", just found a demo Ricoh...
For this years' Christmas I'd like to take pictures of our family gathering that are nicer than the usual smartphone variety. Here we celebrate Christmas on the evening of 24th, so only the ceiling lights and the christmas tree lights will be on. There will be no infants or kids, just adults that don't move around that much :-) I have the NX11 body and these lens options: 30mm f/2.0 18-55mm II f/3.5-5.6 I'm not sure whether I can take good photos with any of these (probably the 30mm as it's...
I just picked up a used NX30. When I was reviewing images today for this first time, I noticed that the images seemed much clearer on the rear display than on the EVF which really surprised me, given the higher resolution of the EVF. On all of the other cameras I've used, I've found the opposite. I tried adjusting the diopter but I couldn't get the EVF to display the same level of sharpness as I could get on the rear screen. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Im trying to determine if...
Hi . . . having a problem with my NX500. After depressing the shutter button half way to focus, when I depress it further to take the shot, the shutter makes a rather loud squawking/scratching sound (hard to describe), hesitates, and then you hear the shutter open and close. When this happens the image is always blurred. I shoot in Aperture, and this seems to occur at f/11 or higher. It works fine if I switch to auto or to a lower f/stop. I was using the NX45 this time, and the NX30 or 60 the...
Have been thinking of a 45mm with 3D for some time. But there is/was also one without 3D. Both lenses the same quality? The 3D one is now $300, rather low for beeing Norway, a good price? Must be awesome with NX500. Even if I got the 30. Been thinking of another camera, some times need EVF. How to get NX30 and at what price? Not used to shop on the net. How do you know what you get... A solid store or maybe here on drp. The alternative is a 3300 for $370, would be very small with the...

Hi, I recently bought a nice NX30 and I'm trying to improve taking pictures now. With mixed results, but a lot of fun. I do run into a problem though: in order to learn as much as possible about exposure, depth of field etc I only use manual shooting mode at the moment. I do set ISO to automatic to avoid to much settings with every picture. When I look at the histogram I often decide that the picture needs some over- or under exposure. According to the manual I can achieve this by pushing the...
