I am in process of deciding to replace my faithful NX20 with an NX30. The NX20 is about 4years old and has developed a fault with the PASM control and the DIOPTA adjustment. I had considered moving to the Fuji X system however I do like my Samsung lenses and like the NX30 (if only the NX50 had happened). I do a lot of street photography and the Sammy combination is both discrete and light. I had also considered the NX500 however I'm not sure I can live with no EVF. The key question for me...
I have the Yongnuo 560III Speedlight, and the Yongnuo RF-603C II trigger/receiver. It works great with the trigger in the hot shoe and the flash off camera, which is where I want it to be. And I know how to use the flash as a slave that gets triggered from the built in camera flash. I got these units when I had my NX20. My question is, does the NX1 have the capability of firing the flash off camera without using the trigger or the built in flash? On page 119-120 of the NX1 manual there are a...
I'm thinking about picking up a new lens and the Samsung 45mm and Rokinon 85mm are the leading candidates. I currently have an NX20 with the 18-55 III. While it's OK, I don't think it has that wow factor that I'm hoping to get with the 45mm Samsung or 85mm Rokinon. I also want something with excellent bokeh. Obviously, the Rokinon doesn't have AF, but I can learn to live with that if the quality is worth the effort. Having said that, if you have both lenses which one do you like better...
Hi,I am going to buy a Samsung NX500 cam, and need some tutorials about lenses that Samsung is providing to this system (NX). I recalled somewhere on Samsung website, where all lenses (NX) were shown with their coverage and where each one is the best, but now when I need it, I cannot find it.That info was quite informative, simply shows the differences between say nx20 vs. nx 30 vs. nx85. Hope someone saved a link to that tutorial/product info. I know it basic stuff for you guys, but not for...
When using my built in flash or my external (Metz 44 AF-1) flash, I noticed the on screen exposure level display doesn't account for the flash being used. On my NX20, it would adjust accordingly, showing whether I'm properly exposed or not when the flash was enabled. I couldn't find any thread mentioning this. Basically I am guessing by the brightness of the screen if the shot is properly exposed. Has anyone else experienced this or am I missing something in the settings?
Hi, I got my NX20 last year but unfortunately once I fell off and bumped the forehead of the camera. Now the built-in flash cannot be recognized by the camera and will not pop-out. Could anyone give me some suggestion is this an easy problem to fix? Or if I were to buy an external flash, will it be recognized by the camera? Thanks!
I don't want to spend $500 for the Samsung flash. Can anyone recommend a budget friendly flash for my NX20? I want something that rotates vertically and horizontally. I really don't understand external flashes-never owned one before, so I'm not sure how they are triggered.
