Waiting for my new camera -Canon M50 with 18-150mm lens, I tried to get some pictures of yesterday's full moon with my smartphone that has a pro mode, allowing me to take pics with manual settings. Set s:1/160, RAW and ISO100, zoomed it, used a mini/smartphone tripod of course, and the result was this Full moon from Xiaomi Note 9 It got worse when I tried to include some buildings in the picture. By increasing S or ISO, so that the buildings would be visible, the moon started to flare and and...

So I’ve been shooting a little now on my 80D and know the exposure triangle and learning stuff everyday. I see a photo now and I try to guess what exposure it is. I think I’m hooked. Anyway today I was at the store and my wife showed me an outfit and I took a picture of it with my wife’s galaxy note 10+ , looked at the details and it was f/2.2 1/60 at iso 200 I said to myself that the store was well lite and why would the camera choose these settings. Knowing full well if my wife moved a...

Hi. Can anyone recommend an intervalometer, either a Sony product or 3rd party, remote or wired, that would work with my RX 10 IV and my RX 100 VI?  The various apps I've tried are not very user-friendly with my Android Samsung Note 9 smartphone.

Next week i will travel to South Korea, bringing the Canon EOS M3 and the Galaxy Note 9 with me. But for the M3 i'm considering to bring the Kit lens 15-45mm f3.5-6.3 or an EF-S 24mm f2.8. I also have a EF 50mm f1.8 but this lens is absolutely not for travel when combined with M3. Can anyone give me an advice?

It's hard to keep up with all the technology theses days, especially with A.I. and processing etc. Is there a 'consumer' based camera that can take night sky video? [Not timelapse]. I'm not expecting great IQ, but something that, with a bit of planning, clear skies and subject lighting etc, can also show stars or the Milky Way in the background - not to be examined in close-up, but to tell the story. I recently did a nighttime kayak on a lake in New Zealand, on the West Coast where there is...

For the life of me, I cannot get the Z7 wifi to work with my Samsung Note 9 consistently. It worked once but after that it just wouldn't connect. I can connect via Bluetooth but when I try to transfer pictures, it asks me to connect via Wifi and then wifi never connects. Here is the troubleshooting that I have done so far.- Reset all pairng and then repaired.- Forgot the Wifi info and then reconnected.- Changed wifi name and then reconnected- Enabled and disabled airplane mode. My phone can...

Hey All! I've got an X-E2 since it was first released way back in the day. I love the form factor, but I find that it's a little slow and doesn't really offer IQ THAT much better than my Samsung Note 9. I initially was planning to purchase the 23mm f2 WR lens (I have the 35mm f2 WR but find it's sometimes too narrow), but noticed that the X-T30 and the X-E3 both come in a 23mm lens kit. So now I'm seeking some advice -- should I: Get the lens only ($399 USD) Upgrade to the X-E3 kit with the...

Hello,Please need your advice; Like to buy a camera for my wife, both of us are beginners, we have Note 9, Iphone XS and a Go Pro 7 Black.I like to buy a camera for her, I saw three options: Sony A6400, Sony A6000 and Canon M50.We will use this camera for daily, travel and family pictures most of the time.I really like the A6400, because of the newer technology, and the ability to take selfie pictures, better af, weather sealed body. But the A6000 looks like a good beginner camera and the...

Somewhat off-topic since this isn't strictly photography related but I've not had much luck on Android-themed forums.  Anyone else using this exact combo?  I've had an ongoing issue that I can't isolate the problem; specifically getting calls to come through on the watch.  Everything is up to date, all settings indicate calls should be allowed to go to the watch.  In fact I've had the watch replaced under warranty b/c of this but with the same result.  Don't have another smartwatch to sync...

Two days ago I had oishare on my Samsung Note 9 working with my em1, functioning as remote control. Worked perfectly during a battery rundown test of the camera on wifi. Today oishare will not detect my camera with wifi turned on in both devices. I turned my in home wife (I mean WIFI)  :-)  off to keep it from interfering with no luck. I uninstalled and reinstalled oishare with no luck. Anyone have any ideas? I don't want to do a reset of the entire camera. --"Any sufficiently advanced...
