Hi all, I'm looking to get a longer lens for my nx500 for portraits. Currently I have the 16-50mm PZ, 30mm, & 50-200mm. I'm contemplating between the 45mm & 60mm, as I can't really afford the 85mm f1.4 at the moment (with its price I can get BOTH 45mm & 60mm! :-O). I know the 45mm f1.8 is a very well loved lens in our NX community, but I wonder is its focal length long enough for portraiture? On the other hand, although 60mm seems like a perfect focal length for portraits (~90mm equivalent),...

I'm thinking about picking up a new lens and the Samsung 45mm and Rokinon 85mm are the leading candidates.  I currently have an NX20 with the 18-55 III.  While it's OK, I don't think it has that wow factor that I'm hoping to get with the 45mm Samsung or 85mm Rokinon.  I also want something with excellent bokeh.  Obviously, the Rokinon doesn't have AF, but I can learn to live with that if the quality is worth the effort. Having said that, if you have both lenses which one do you like better...

I have had a NX500 for about a week now, and I have two prime lens with it, so I swap between them every-so-often. Several times now, I have had a problem with the camera body not recognizing the lens. I can swap to any of the lens after this happens, but none of them are recognized. The first few times, I was able to gently clean the contacts on the camera body and on the lens, and I was able to get the camera to communicate with the lens once again. When the lens is not recognized by the...

So my cousin's wedding is in two weeks and I thought it's a good oportunity to buy my first lens, and I was thinking in a portraiture lens for nice bokeh, and I'm pending to 45mm, although the smaller 30mm looks good too. What do you guys think? I should say that I'm a total newbie in this, the NX300 is my first camera after lots of P&S, and I want to push all of it's potential. Should I stick with my 20-55mm kit lens until I learn more about photography? P.S.: this is my first thread in the...
